Haha, my befores are going to be alot bigger then my afters. You seem to lose a lot of weight when you can't use your arm for about 3 months.

I have a real good video on bench press form saved. If I can dig it up, I'll post. I go to you tube every now and then and look at pros lifting. Flex wheeler used to demonstrate how to lift in his vids. Jay Cutler is good too. I know he is involved with a personal trainer class.

Not saying you're wrong or anything, just throwing that out there. Just saying I would hate to be a bb'er on a low carb diet. If the low carb thing works for you though, then more power to you. Everyone is different. I'm a hard gainer, so I try to get all the calories I can. Carbs are my friend when doing that.
Oh dude, no doubt. Low-carb diets are definitely better suited for fat loss, hence why I cycle between 40/40/20 and Anabolic. I usually do Anabolic to lose weight. When I want size and strength I'm just like you and eat carbs like a madman. And yes, it's extremely entertaining to see pics of bodybuilders in the off-season while they are bulking. It's amazing the transformation they go through come contest prep time.

3) find what works best for you.

4) Form, Form, and Form
1. Definitely agreed, diet is the majority of your gains.
2. Most definitely the most popular supplement.
3. It takes most people trial and error to learn this for themselves.
4. My god, yes. It's terrible the things you see in the gym. My pet peeve is partial squats. While partials have their place in training heavy, I can't stand to see someone do them and count them as regular squats.

x2 on everything, man!

Most definitely, big man.

Actually the majority of people I've seen in accidents or whatnot have gained weight. You must take good care of yourself.

I've recently started incorporating partials into my chest routine. Still stimulates the chest and saves my triceps for a later workout, be it after chest or a different day.

You guys ever tried bowflex? My wife surprised me one day, well the UPS guy did with about 9 boxes weightin 300lbs one day. She got "US" a bowflex. Man I though that thing sucked, if you use and love a bowflex nothing personal. I just cant get away from the feeling of that dead weight. I do like hammer strength machines tho! man you can really put some heavy weight up on those things. I think Imma wait till next month see if I still have a prison to work at lol and pick me up a few sample protein powders see if I can find a good one. L8tr

I agree. IMO the commercials are full of it. Those guys didn't get that big using a Bowflex. It seems to me that the Bowflex would only be good for cutting weight if you were you overweight to begin with. That's only due to the fact that you're actually doing something active as opposed to watching tv.

Never liked the bowflex. Didn't like those resistance rods. The farther you push, the more resistance they give. Which sounds good, but until you are almost fully extended, there was barely any resistance. I don't own one, but whenever I am at a sports store, I always hop on one. They do make your arms shake though. My gym is full of hammer strengths. I like a few of them. I try to stick to free weights though. So of those, you have to go through the set ROM, which doesn't work for everyone.

Yea, when I do chest, I don't fully extend. Too much tricep use to get to full lock. I need to fnd that video. Great explanation of the bench press.

I LOVE tricep workouts . Probley my strongest point, next would be chest. I probley have the worse time getting my traps to grow. I haven't switched up routines much but pretty much stick with shruggs and they arn't getting me anywhere.

Okay okay let me ask you this, some of us at least are gym goers. How many days you work out and how long? Do you guys slip up go for a month 4 days or 5 a week then dont get back in there for 2 or 3 weeks lol. I am the same way at points but Ive noticed that everyone who works out at my gym do. other than heavy rollers, even then they are out alot. I dunno maybe its just around here lol.

For your traps, try Haney Shrugs, they worked great for me. Just regular shrugs except you put the bar behind your back and shrug with your hands behind you. The concept behind the exercise is that your traps are behind you, so that's where the bar should be. Don't know about that, but they work great for me. The ROM is limited, but I also do other exercises for traps. Most people find it rather easy to work traps and some don't even work them directly...they grow from other exercises like deadlifts.

Every once in a while school and work gets too hectic and I don't have time to go and take a break. Working over 30 hours per week while going to school full-time isn't easy. But yeah, to answer your question...when I'm on track how often I go depends on the workout I'm on. If I'm trying to cut weight I'll go in on off-days and do some cardio. Just maintaining or building mass I'll go just for the workouts. I'm currently on a 12-day rotation (3 on/1 off). See this thread for some great workouts (I'm on the first).

I had tried those types of shrugs before. I do have long arms, and a shorter torso so once I put some weight to the rear style shrugs my hands are completely under my a$$ lol no lie. Its like to make them work I have to pull up and back just to move them out from under my rear end! haha that sounds funny but its true same things applies to the front shrug the bar rests well you can figure that part out. Never the less I do not do front shrugs for reproductive purposes. I do appricate the info and the thread im a member there just dont visit ever.

We have a shrug bad you stand in the middle of it and hold the handles from a normal relaxed position but i tell you man I never see anyone using it always sits against the wall.

That 12 would be blistering! I was working out with a few guys for awhile from work. There alil older than me and started to drop out down to 3 days a week. I mean we were lifting heavier by the day but now they all burned out and Im just by my loansome.

Only other ones in there alot of time is women, women working out women doing cardio, women doing programs upstairs I don't get S**t done sometimes.

Everyone has that problem with shrugs. I just wear briefs, and that helps keep things in place. They make a bar that is has a U shape in the middle to avoid hitting your goods. If they don't have that, you can do dumbell shrugs. If you gym has a smith machine, you can use that for the behind the back shrugs. Makes it easier b/c you can kinda lean to get you butt out of the way, and the weight won't move with you.
Another good one is to grab some dumbells. Kneel onto an incline bench to where you are facing the bench. Let your arms hang, Then shrug the weights up with more of a pinching the shoulder blades movement then just a straight up pull.

http://www.weighttrainersunited.com/latshrug.html
Kinda like this, but you will be at an incline. Set it pretty high, much higher then for incline bench. Focus more on moving the weight in a backward motion with pinching the should blades, then a straight up motion.

Kind of hard to explain while typing out without pictures. Would only take like 5 sec. to show how. Also, in those pics, they are using the type of bar I was talking about.

Haha, yea. Gear is def. cheaper then what GNC will try to sell you. You go in there and they will tell you that you need every different Muscle tech or GNC product there is. 300-400 for about a months supply.

I've thought about dabbling in it but am very uneducated on the subject. Plus I'm only 21 so I figured I'd let my youth take care of me for now. Maybe when I'm older.
