I've got two trips back to back next week.
Eight take offs and eight landings and hopefully no geese.

Can't we sue Canada since we know where the birds came from?

The flying goats are going to be a problem. They have corrupted you.. imagine what they can do to an airplane?

As far as suing Canada, well if you can prove they sent them.. I think they are illegal aliens and you know how bad the US is about getting rid of them. We need more boarder patrol officers.

It is not the bird that destroys the engine, it is the metal the breaks off of the fan blades, and all the damage done to all the compressor blades thereafter.

I work downtown and you should have seen all of the cars, ambulances and boats speeding uptown.

Pilot gets my nod for employee of the month. They said it was a "textbook landing". Bull. That was friggin' unbelievable that people on the plane and on land didn't die. Amazing. - Og

My neighbor was on the plane returning from a Bank of Amer. meeting. She called her husband from her cellphone during the rescue. She said it was most frightening and noisy, then quiet set in as the plane stopped moving. Everyone got organized and it was a very orderly unloading. She said she stepped right out of the plane into a rubber raft, then onto a boat. Her husband worked for US Air until he retired last year. He told her they already had a flight home scheduled. She said she wasn't setting foot on a plane, he could drive to NY and pick her up. They were negotiating last night, I haven't talked to him yet this morning. She said the Pilot was the most amazing calm individual.

I hope he gave in.
Sometimes people sound irrational because you haven't walked in their moccasins.

I'd get back on, what are the odds of it happening again?

I fly to LGA from RDU fairly often... did some work on LGA's landing light system that sticks out into the river last November, I can tell you, that water is COLD!

Glad everyone made it out OK.

As you can see I'm always back and forth b/t NYC (JFK & LGA) & RDU. Even though I knew no one on the place it touched my heart. I think the Pilot did an outstanding job.

Jeeze man, lemme know when you're in town next and we can grab a few !

I usually don't fly the CLT-LGA route, but yeah, it still hit pretty close to home.

I hope that pilot gets a nice big bonus check this year!
