Just saw my first Tundra a couple of days ago. Nice truck, but one thing struck me as I got closer to it... The V8 badge on the front grill is almost bigger than the whole truck! Toyota has got to be kidding when they call this a full size truck.

Consumer Reports just put the Tundra way ahead of the F150 and a Chevy even beat the Ford.
I and many others respect Consumer Reports testing and evaluation.
This makes me wonder what Ford is going to do...
I think Ford should not sit on top of the hill and laugh down at the competition. They are all fighting to get to the top and Ford had better work harder to stay there.

Don't get me wrong I love my truck but it annoys me that every three or four months New problems slowly become noticeable. It makes me wonder what's next...

I test drove every full size truck on the market, including the Tundra! Here's my thoughts:

Dodge: Low quality piece of garbage, even new!

Chevy/GMC: Nice interior, but both I test drove had problems right off the lot, on shimmied so bad I has afraid to take it over 70 mph, the other had a really bad wind noise from the passenger window!

Tundra: Nice ride, good power, cramped interior! I'm 6' tall, and the Tundra would have killed me on a drive that lasted more than an hour! Didn't care for the outside door handles on the 3rd and 4th doors either, especially being that you still needed to open the front doors first anyway!

Ford: Drove 4 before buying mine, never found a thing wrong with any of them! Lots of problems negotiating price, but finally got what I wanted both in price and vehicle!

Like everyone has already said, there is no way the Tundra should be considered full-size. I'm 6'4" 260 and I drove a 4x4 Tundra before I bought my F150. I had NO legroom on my left side, the seat wasn't big enough even though it was pretty supportive, and the cap on my head would rub the ceiling whenever I moved around.

It did seem pretty well put together, but for $33k with no leather they must be hitting the pipe hard. But I suppose as long as the economy booms and they maintain the Jap/American quality stereotype they'll continue to get what they're asking...

I recently went to the Chicago Auto Show and sat, or tried to sit, in all of the trucks present. The only ones I could even get my big butt in were the big three.

ALL GM products rattle and are too expensive and the people at the friendly dodge dealer are terribly rude.
So that leaves me back at Ford
which I was told this evening my truck is supposed to be here March 20th now.

BTW, I asked the Ford Rep at the Autoshow if there were any supercabs, he said "No, they didn't bring any this year." I walked around the corner and guess what I saw, two silver ones. Iwanted to grab him by the ear and show him, but I just went back and told him polietly he didn't know what he was talking about.
