The title pretty much explains it. She said she felt like she was being stripped of her civil and human rights. She also said it reminded her of the civil rights era in the South.

It was only as she turned her head and uttered an expletive that they arrested her and took her in front of a judge. People are stupid when they don't follow the orders of bailiffs in a courthouse. I hope she has to pay a fine and court costs for "losing her personal and civil rights."

 

I wonder how she will feel if they put her in the clink for a few days. I'm just guessing the jail would violate her rights yet again by not letting her wear her head scarf in her cell either. It's three hots and a cot; no scarf included.

well, she had to be a smart *** and say something, so she deserves the jail time. why do "minorities" have to fight everything and get pissed when they lose? get over it. i don't see the big deal about taking it off. you can put it right back on when you leave

I understand its part of a culture but your in the US we do stuff a little different here .. she is lucky she is not in the middle east Undermining authority they would probably just behead her.
