It's drilled into me. Anytime I'm in my vehicles or any "civilian" vehicle.

But for some reason, everytime I get into a military truck I leave the seat belt laying on the floor.

But I'm working on that.

Never wore my belt much until my neice was in an accident about twenty years ago and ended up in a wheel chair- didn't have her belt on. I could have kicked my brothers a$$ for not teaching his kids to wear their belts.

For whatever reason, I do the same thing in govn't vehicles...

But I have taught my kids to be seatbelt fanatics...Then they turned into seatbelt *****... If I put the truck in gear without a belt on, I get yelled at by all 3 at once.

Wear mine all the time. last August 15, I got in a head-on with a combined closing speed of over 100MPH. "I WALKED AWAY" I don't think I would have if I had not had my seat belt on. Over $20,000.00 damage to truck.

Even though I turned off the seat belt chime, I still wear mine.

when i was younger i managed to be involved in a number of accidents some quite severe. i always walked away uninjured even when i hit a tree at 95 mph.
the officer would then inform me that i could pay a multitude of fines or fill out this nice survey telling how my seatbelt saved my life. when your 17 and the man offers a survey or $2000 in fines guess what you do?
i'm sure some will tell of horrific crashes where body parts were all over the road because they didn't wear a seatbelt. do you really think they would've lived if they had been wearing one?
Have you ever seen a rollover? People getting slingshotted out? I'd like to see you 'hang on' as your truck rolls at 65mph.
