What did you drive before your F-150
In high school, my mom and dad gave me their '69 Impala. After graduation, I scored a '71 Chevelle SS 396, one hot rod lemme tell ya. Then came marriage and I sold the Chevelle and bought a '75 Monte Carlo. I was trying to be a good husband and dad, but wasn't long before I tore out the stock 350 and dropped in a Corvette 350 LT1. Talk about a kick *** family ride, and that was the wife's car!!! About a year after I bought the Monte, we needed a second car, so I bought a '78 Ford Bronco. Not long again before I had a lift and Mudders on it. Gotta bring the kids up right... Four-wheelin' in the woods. They loved it. The marriage went kaput, so I bought an '84 Chevy S-10. Talk about a piece of garbage!!! In '88 I bought my first brand new full size Ford F150 (2WD). 160,000 miles later, I gave it to my son. He ended up with over 200,000 before he got rid of it. After that, I bought a used '97 F150 Scab. Great truck. I absolutely abused that thing, and it stood up to everything I'd give it. Finally traded it in January '08 for the current '06 F150 Screw I have now. Less than 6,000 miles when I got it, and get this... I had it a week to the day, and got T-boned. The poor soul that hit me went away in the ambulance, and I didn't even get a bruise. $15,000 damage!!! Got it back just about a month ago, and everything seems to be just fine. Well... That's all I drove since the age of 16.
My first car at 15 was a 65 Corvair Monza. It was always needing work done. Finally roasted all the lifters on the highway when the belt flew off and it over heated.
77 Plymouth Fury for about 6 months until the drive shaft fell off.
Bought a buddies 80 (I think) Dodge St. Regis. It looked like a cop car.
74 Olds Omega with a 350 Rocket.
82 Toyota Truck. Grandfathers after he passed away.
70 Nova SS 396 4 speed #'s car. It was in show condition when I sold it, sometimes I wish I had it back.
96 Dodge Dakota 4x4 v-8. My first and last brand new ride.
Sold the Dodge cause the payments and gas were crushing me and bought an 82 Tercel.
90 Dodge Ram 50. My brother called it the Barbie Truck because it was so small.
Bought my brothers 84 Toyota Celica GTS. Fun car. Great on Gas. I was rear ended and wrote it off.
I still have all these:
96 Tercel to drive to work.
00 Chev Blazer for the Girlfriend.
79 Mustang 5.0 Project Car (saving up for a 460).
and my first full size truck my 03 F150 FX4.

I was tired of paying high fuel cost.... So I traded in my 06 Lexus IS350 for something better... 06 KR
I loved that car..
and if it wasn't for the fuel prices today... I would still be driving her... but with the price of trucks/suv today... I could not pass up the chance!!!

1978 Ford Bronco....Two tone silver with a gloss black top, that had a place in Texas customize with rims, tires and complete headliners. I got it in 1985 for $2500 with 66K. Only $2500. So far, so good right?
Well, I'm buying it from a guy I work with and another guy I work with says he saw the current owner @ sears buying 3 (!) cans of STP.
But even better, the day I go to pick it up, the front bumper is split in half with it in a V shape, coming out from the fenders. He just did it, so he knocks off $150. for the front bumper.
Sure enuf, I get it home and change the oil and EVERY lifter is clattering like there is no oil in the engine at all.
Sooooooo, I go back to the guy (who couldn't furnish me a free and clear TX title (we were in AK at the time and he was leaving for TX soon) And...it was going to cost me at least $300 for a cam, lifters and timing chain.... at which point he promptly wrote me out a check for $300.00.
And you know what? I put 120K miles on that truck! I had it for 14 years, had to have the tranny and the transfer case gone thru...... started towing a 1600 LB travel trailer @110K)....it was in more than a couple of serious accidents, but it NEVER let me down or let me be hurt.
I sold it when I moved in 1999 (when I got the F150) for $2095.
See what you started? Sniff

I had an '03 Ranger Supercab that was pretty loaded from the factory with bucket seats, PW/PL/PM, etc. Then I added lots of mods:
4.0 SOHC/5-speed automatic with a Bama 3-stage tuner, K&N FIPK air intake, Gibson 2 1/2" single cat-back exhaust, all synthetic fluids, a salvage yard picked and refurbished 3:73 limited slip Explorer rear axle with disc brakes, a refurbed salvage yard picked Bronco II rear sway bar with urethane bushings, salvage yard picked Explorer overhead console and auto-dimiing mirror with functional auto light capability (that was tricky to wire up), salvage yard picked and refurbished (new foam) Explorer power/heated leather bucket seats, Explorer dome light, four Pioneer 6x8 3-way speakers, an Alpine CDA-9856 head unit with Sirius and Ipod, 20% tinted windows, a Stull billet grille, clear front corner lenses, '07 Ranger tail-lights, an Extrang tonneau cover, Line-X, DJM 2" front drop springs, rear spring hanger flip (for about a 2 1/2" drop in the back), Douestch Tech shocks all around, 17" Mustang Bullit wheels with Kuhmo Ecsta ASX 255/50/17 tires, 4x4 Ranger XLT front bumper with foglight valance and factory switch, Sylvania Silverstar bulbs, and a tubular reciever trailer hitch. Whew...that was alot of typing...lol!! I really loved that little truck. It was pretty speedy and handled great for a Ranger too and was a fun little burnout machine if you asked it to. I kind of wish I had kept it the way gas prices are and it only had 35,000 miles on it when I traded it in for the F150 last October. Took me 2 days to get it all stripped back down to stock before I let her go. The main reason I upgraded was to pull our boat. The Ranger had little problem pulling it (even with being lowered a little) but it had a hard time getting it stopped even with the rear disc brake conversion.
Heres some pics:
