Do ya get a feel for it now? Does it take on a little different connotation if McCain had said the above. Can you justify it when someone with a different ideology than you makes such a statement?

Sad to say but many do cling to alcohol, violence, crime and sex as a way of acting out from poverty. If some just noticed the violence, drugs, crime and sex and thought that equaled the poor without why it would be inaccurate.
If someone thought it was specific to Blacks that also would be inaccurate.
In the beginning I asked if anyone would believe a lawyer would pimp out his business car and nobody answered...a joke should have some basis in truth to be satire or funny IMHO.
The joke played to some ghetto hood/black stereotype implications plain and simple. I spoke up with my opinion and was called sensitive and/or racist?

I think the pic was funny. Just as I thought the KFC pic with the White House in the background was funny that was sent to my phone. And just as I think all the comments made to me about cement shoes, etc. is funny because I am of Italian heritage. I can take a joke. The thing that bothers me right now is what type of threads should be deleted, locked, etc. and who is banned temporarily or permanently for some of the same remarks that were made in this thread. I don't see any common ground on this forum anymore.
