i feel justified in finding that photo funny, just like i, as a white guy who lives in the deep south, found it hysterical when Obama made the statement that bitter whites in the south cling to guns and religion.

in all seriousness..... i read (in a car mag) a couple years ago (maybe 06?) when bush got a new limo that the rims were 20s. i dunno if obamas new one will get 22s, but i doubt it. escalades can come with 22s as an option, so it isnt too far fetched.

heres the deal. I spoke out of place, it is stereotyping, theres a lot of that in the world. Im positive that it was supposed to be a joke, and now all these insensitive people are getting butt hurt about it. How many people complained when they came out with the pic of Air Force One with a texas flag on it and bull horns???????? No one, it was funny, it was a joke, just like this.

When I saw the pic of the limo with hood rims, I knew that our black f150 brethren were going to be up in arms.... It was a foregone conclusion.

I happen to be from West Texas, and get called redneck/white trash/oilfield trash...blah blah blah blah. I have heard it all. Mostly though, I get called a racist because I did not want to vote for Obama. I was told that I would not vote for a black man. The other side is blinded by extreme sensitivity.

They, meaning those offended, seem to have forgotten all of the insensitive comments made about Bush, and all the way down the line to Palin. The Republicans took the pot shots that were thrown there way. Why should Obama not be fair game also. I guess its because of his skin color? Why does that exclude him? Is it the stereotype? Did Bush/Palin and others not get stereotyped also? I dunno maybe whats good for the goose is not good for the gander...Whatever, deal with it!

I know it would fit your stereotype better if he said the words towards southerners but context and facts do matter if you quote someone.
