Why so many Supercrews ???
I need the extra space for the Laydeez who like to ride in my truck
Don't have the thing anymore so who knows. Nice camper by the way.
Supercab FTW. I can put my ATV in the bed and close the tailgate, no need for a tailgate rack or anything. I still have a backseat with plenty of space, and fuzz size front doors.
I kinda think that Fish missed something in his logic...
I owned a 00 4x4 Supercab F150. I loved it, but there were MANY occasions where I kicked myself for not spending the extra 20 bucks in my monthly payments on a Supercrew. It always seemed that I needed to haul a couple family members whenever we camped or went fishing. We always had to take my wifes 2 wheel drive Expy. I wanted to drive my truck but could not.
What it boils down to is give and take...What is more important? Cab space, or bed space. I gave up bed space because cab space made more sense. An SUV had more cab space, but it gave up all bed space. The SuperCrew was the perfect compromise for the way I live.
Fish posed an observation that he see's many SuperCrews without passengers, and only a driver. How many times could we catch him without something in his dearly beloved 6.5 foot bed? It probably goes to waste just as much as the cabin space in a Supercrew...And in the grand scheme of things, who cares what he thinks. He's happy with his truck, and most of us are happy with ours. Lets go back to bashing one another for political beliefs rather than which version of trucks we drive.
Someone could start a thread about "King Ranch owners are pretentious Furs"...and then I would have to get on my high horse and berate them for such idiotic comments. Would they have some valid points. Well yeah, they would...But Ford makes different trucks for different tastes. I did my leather, and if ya don't like it, then I fart in your general direction.

Think of it this way. A supercrew, is like an SUV with uber hauling abilities. I got my supercrew based on the number of people I might have to carry at one time, and just cause it was a lot more roomy. And for that, most supercrews will weigh less than an SUV. And to top that, most will get better fuel mileage than an SUV. So why not get a crew cab truck, in the place of an SUV and save money?
sal- kr has a screw and 6.5 ft bed opt?
yep, i think he had to order it though. I've seen XLTs with the screw/6.5 bed also.
The crew cab with the 6.5' bed came out in 2006.
The SuperCrew is great for hauling people, but I want it (for my next truck) mainly for the cargo space. The new CrewCab F-150 with the 6" longer back and flat load floor is going to blow the SuperCab away.

Especially icefishing season. I couldn't fit all that crap inside the truck.
I actually wanted a supercab originally but the dealer offered 10000 off supercrews so here we are. And I'm glad I did. Being in construction I have so many tools that I have my toolbox filled plus the whole back seat.
my last vehilde was an expy, and it quickly became the vehicle of choice when going out with your buddies. that **** gets real old real fast. now with the scab, we take their rides, or they ride in the bed. i don't mind in the slightest as now the radio is back under my control.
