Passed or pass. I think either works. But anyway, I always try to kick myself, but somehow I keep falling over. - Og

I personally don't like either but am voting the lesser of the 2 evils. I cannot believe out everyone that could have been nominated we are stuck with these two to choose from.
If Obama didn't change his mind so much and cater to the audience I would consider voting for him but it seems like he is just saying what everyone wants to hear and has no idea on how to make it happen. Some how the media has just propped him up on their shoulders and if it wasn't for that I don't think he would have even come close to getting this far. The last time I checked I don't have much trust in what the media says but a lot of people are still listening to them.

Come to find out, this guy was talking all that smack about disrupting the government (not that it's ever a good thing) when Obama was eight (8) years old. I doubt Obama was being groomed for the White house 38 years ago.

You could tell in Palin's voice that she didn't even really want to say that silliness ...who, according to the New York Times.

Desparation... Not pretty, not even when Palin does it.

Reminds me of a line from Blazing Saddles:
"Can't you see this is the last act of a desperate man?"
So you think it is ok to be friends/associate with some one that has:

1969, Participated in planting a bomb at a statue dedicated to riot police casualties.
1969, Participated in the Days of Rage riot in Chicago in October
1970, Participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters
1971, Participated in the bombing of the United States Capitol building
1972, Participated in the bombing of the Pentagon in 1972

These are just the activities that Ayres participated in. The group that he lead bombed many more things. IMO this is a lot more than just talking smack.

Exatly, everyone is saying that Obama was a small child when Ayres did all of this, but the fact is that Obama has a long history with Ayres thoughout his lifetime. Even as recent as 2001. Obama and Ayres are closer than the media is letting everyone believe.

Obama has way too many connections with radical people and organizations, I am very afraid of what will become of our country if he is elected.....

Vote McCain in November, even if you don't like him, he is far better than the alternative!!!

Every politician has someone hiding in the background, connections they do NOT want to to be made public. Look at JFK for example, look at some of the connections he had. You don't get to that power seat, without being in bed with some shady characters, I don't care who you are.

How old was Obama in 1969 ? How much influence do you honestly think he had over these people ?

I once heard that Obama's 1st grade teacher once knew about Huey Newton of the Black panthers !!! Must mean Obama is a terrorist !!!

He is invited by the University of Illinois to appear on a panel at a conference and now he is supporting the Weatherman. This is the best you can do? Really? This is the age old "guilt by association" techniques. Its one DESPERATE act from McCain if you ask me.

William Ayers is a professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, with whom Barack served on the board of an education-reform organization in the mid-1990’s. According to the Associated Press, they are not close: “No evidence shows they were “pals” or even close when they worked on community boards years ago …”

Smear groups and the McCain campaign are trying to connect Obama to acts Ayers committed 40 years ago – when Barack was just eight years old. Here’s what the New York Times reported on the connection:

But the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called “somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.”

Barack has publicly denounced Ayers’ radical actions from the 1960’s:

Senator Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen group, as he does all acts of violence. But he was an eight-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost forty years ago is ridiculous.

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-...onnection.html

ever heard of "6 degrees of seperation" was a fun game back in the day. Anyways, looks like it is still being played be someone in the McCain camp.

It's just like the past 2 or 3 elections... Vote for the lessor of two evils.....

South Parks episode about voting for the 'turd sandwich' or the 'douche bag' kinda fits for all of the past and present elections!! I never laughed so hard on a SP episode when that one aried... Other then the very first time I saw the show in it's first season and it was the '**** probe' one!! That hooked me for life, and gee, that shows still on the air and how many Presidents have been in office since their first show?? The Simpson's still seem to be a favorite as well.... So, what does that say about our society!!

To be honest, I've watched the debates, and been following this whole mess for some time and I don't like either candidate, I don't like either running mate.... I think Congress is the problem and we have to clean up that MESS before we see any "CHANGE" in this country... The corruption and ear marks that go along with any little thing is the cause for this whole mess we are in...

The Bible Thumping has to stop too! I mean, why is it that every President HAS to be seen going to Church every single Sunday??? Okay, I know it's because Church and Religion are very big in this country, but then why is it we can't have a freaking XMAS TREE in an AIRPORT without someone bitching about it!! What about this whole "separation of church and state"? deal.... I have nothing against ANYONE who is Religious or feels the way they feel... That's great for them! I applaud them for standing for something.... But, when it's crammed down our throats and all of our elected officials are 'expected' to obied by this, then what's the deal with that??

Don't get me wrong... I believe in what I want to believe and I totally respect in what you wish to believe in... I won't preach to you if you don't preach to me! I won't think any less of you for what you believe in, if you don't think any less of me for what I believe in... And on and on... Okay, I'm getting way off here and didn't mean to, so back on topic.... Who am I voting for.... I don't know yet! But, at this point in time, I am actually thinking that whoever I do end up voting for WON'T win so that at least I can say 4 years from now, "Well, I didn't vote for him!".... It's sad to say that, but that's what it's come to for me....

Mitch

Thanks MT... I just want to add that I still love this country and believe in it's original intent on running a democratic government and will fight and do whatever it takes to keep it that way, but I have to say, I have lost a little faith in the Government as a whole and I'm going to be paying A LOT more attention who I'm voting for in the local Senate and House races as well as the Federal Senate and House races in addition to the 'other' local elected positions that show up on our ballots! That's where the real "CHANGE" is going to happen!
