They said on the news this AM that Brady had a suspected torn ACL, and that he'd be out for the season.

He's getting an MRI today.

It's got to hurt to lose a player like Brady- especially in game 1.

But, the Rams lost Kurt Warner after a superbowl season, and the back up ended up taking Warner's job. Just like Brady took Bledsoe's job after an injury... The BU looked pretty good yesterday.. I think as long as they can keep Moss healthy, and catching- they have a shot...

I predict the final four teams (unless they meet up sooner in the brackets)

Indianapolis
New England (Or Cleveland)

Dallas
Philly

Dallas looked good yesterday, and in the first half, I haven't seen a line give a QB that much protection since Joe Theisman was playing behind the "Hogs" in the 80's... Of course, when the Browns started rushing 5, the boys didn't do so well at protecting Romo- hence the 13 stiches...

The Patriots are made up of more than just Brady and will do just fine. Maybe not Super Bowl but you never know.

Yea.. people still seem to forget all the weapons we have regardless that Brady is out.

Does it hurt? yes... Does it mean the season is over? Absolutely not.

Moss & Welker are two of the best receivers in the game, we just need a "decent" QB who can put the ball in their hands. Our backup (Matt Cassel) is a real flaky player in my eyes. This pre-season he was HORRIBLE, but yesterday he looked really good... calm and confident.

There is talk of NE signing possibly Rattay or Simms, both who could be the "decent" QB the Pats need.

On top of all that, I think Maroney is going to have a break-out season this year. He looked awesome yesterday.

Kind of funny. When Wes was at Miami he didn't get very much attention at all. The poor guy probably got more attention when he was playing college ball for Texas.
