Angry This time, UPS sux!

Bought an Edge off another member here... transaction between us went smooth as silk, Edge was shipped out right away. Get the tracking #, UPS said it should be here 9/8!
Being **** retentive, I checked the status the next morning, and to my suprise it had been delivered! To a town and hour and a half from it's origin!
I start lighting fires under ppls ***** to fin this thing, have the UPS guru at my shop contact UPS, I even goes as far as contacting the place it was delivered to (Zappos.com!). Was told yesterday UPS was sending a driver and would have my package within an hour and re-routed to my location.
As of 7p last night... they had no clue. :o
As of 8a today... they still have no clue.
Then I get an email from UPS stating it can take up to 8 days for the trace/investigation to sort it out! And who knows between then and now...

WTF!

Sorry, had to rant.

Frustrating! Good luck with that. Seems that kind of thing is happening a lot more often.

Is your UPS guru using UPSWorldShip? If so It's just one click of the mouse to have it picked up today.

He can just send a call tag for it if the place where it went is aware of the package.

Don't know. But he also called the place it went to and no luck. They "don't know anything about it"... I heard that this place opens everything though, and if that's true, wouldn't someone notice an Edge tuner?!?!

Did get another response from UPS. Only to tell me that if the package is found, it'll be sent back to the UPS Store it was shipped from. WHY?
And if the person I bought it from, quote "deals with UPS daily", then why would they ship it from the UPS Store instead of the company they work at?!

Maybe I'm just reading too much into all this and my major frustration is getting to me, but I'm feeling something is amiss and not right with this whole situation. Go figure.

do you have the tracking number?

we are a UPS hub (hardware store, but we ship using worldship) and I may be able to find something out, but I'm not sure because the package doesn't involve me

it got misloaded into the wrong truck. this happens when you have guys loading over 1,500 boxs in one truck most loaders get 3-4 misloads a month. sometimes the supervisors put the wrong box to the wrong truck to test the loaders this is called assult. you should get 100$ bucks and ur shipping cost will be waved bc UPS screwed up. some loaders have 10-15 misloads a month those guys get fired very fast. good luck buddy, shifty , UPS hub in livona!

Is this fact for this incident, or speculation based on prior happenings?

Why has UPS "not been able to find it" yet?!

And how does it get delivered to an address 1,000 or so miles away from the destination when the label clearly shows where it should go?!

I'm guessing someone just got a free tuner and you are gonna have to deal with UPS to get this settled and not just for a $100 but for the cost of the tuner as well. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, but I think it's a lil late for that don't you?!

I'm just trying to figure out now what happens. If they find it, I was told it goes back to where it shipped and the process starts ALL OVER again. Yea. (sarcasm)

If they don't find it, the claim goes to the shipper? Then I have to get him to send me the $300 it was insured for?!

WTF! I am so fed up with this.

It's not like I can ask the guy I bought it from for the $275 back either... well... can I?

Grrr.....

I was so looking forward to having this today.

2.1lbs isn't off base or unrealistic then.
