Lord...

I wish things would settle down soon. Half my family still does not have power, we do thank God. 2 to 3 hour waits just to get gas!!! The Amite River here in Denham Springs is steadily rising above flood stage and now 3/4 of the road I live on is underwater. So far we're ok as far as flooding/damage goes but I hope we stay that way. I tried to take some pics but my camera died on me. Took some with the Blackberry I'll throw on here later.

I hope all my neighbors on this site are safe.

Back home guys, evacuated to Baton Rouge Sunday morning and rode the storm out Monday. We had winds up to 90 mph as the storm passed right over Baton Rouge, we lost power Monday and left Wednesday morning to head back to the Lockport area. I have some damage to my home mostly to the garage area, winds tore part of the rear garage wall off and my garage door was caved in and made a general mess to everything I had inside. We just got power back on late last night and just got the internet service back also. Lower Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle in Jefferson parish got hit pretty hard also. From what I saw Baton Rouge was the worst. Got to get back outside and finish picking up debris in the yard, glass, vinyl trim, broken glass etc. 4 days with no electricity was also pretty bad. Amazingly I left my truck under the carport and nothing happened to it other than needing a good washing. If I would have put it in the garage it would have been worse. Catch ya'll later on!

Glad to here you made it back home PAWPAW, I was one of the lucky ones my house had no damage I didn't even lose power. I cut my grass and it look like nothing happen but I went riding around Lafayette and they have a lot of trees down . My inlaws live in Franklin and they got it pretty bad to. they had a pecan tree fall on there house and made a hole in the roof plus part of the tree fell on his camper shed and total that , good thing he took the camper out and brought it to his sons house.they just got power back yesterday.

How's everyone doing? Nothing but sunshine here North/Cen Fla. Only thing I can tell you is that a few Wendy's in the LA basin set a Wendy's World Record for most sales in a day. One store near Baton Rouge topped $12,000 in 24 hours. We only get $3,000-$4,000 a day. I think its cause everyone lost power and went out to eat. Hope you guys are alright. We have Ivan or Ian or something like that supposedly headed our way. Oh jeeze... here we go again
