ROFLMAO.. that is the funniest yet. You obviously haven't read the Bible or know anything about faith to make a comment like that. Salvation was the new testament. The old testament was the time of law. The rules where different. You science thumpers can't argue the Bible farther than to say it is a book of stories. Please save yourself the embarrassment and keep it to the story level. To go beyond that sounds pretty pathetic.

A factual documentation, it isn't. Some of the stories take place at real times, in real places perhaps, but the stories contain such a simplistic view of the world, with simplistic explanations it can't be taken word for word. These people who wrote the Bible, weren't alive during the time the stories took place. These are the same people who thought the world was flat, thought sneezing may allow your soul to escape, people who thought so differently, your willing to believe on this one thing though ? Doesn't make sense to me.

Believing in god is human nature. Following religion is arrogance.
And there is the problem... in YOUR INTERPRETATION. Your putting all your preconceved notions into what you read. Example.. the world is flat believers of long ago. In Genisis it says how the world is round and not supported by anything.... long before humans believed it. They didn't follow the Bible. People wrote the Bible with God's insperation. Simplistic explanation? or God's devine hand that made the world? I choose the later. You choose the former. Because you think man is God. I know God is God. And we will be judged when we die. Good luck.

I hope so. We will still pray for them.

The best though is how they think people who believe in God don't think science applies to anything. There are plenty of scientists who believe in God.

LOL guess you just don't understand... I hope and pray sometime soon you will. I will pray extra hard for you in a bit when I go to bed for the night. I will have a serious heart to heart with God about you. There is always hope.

Thanks Chris, tell Him Habibi says hi, and that He's welcome to come visit me anytime He wants.

I decided to let it go, I simply applied the same arguement in reverse. It was over. I know it is built into the human ego to think and live the way we do. I also know that in the end people's attitudes change. The way the creator designed us.
I'm just glad I found truth earlier than the end.

You didn't apply any argument at all. You threw out wild statements that you could not defend or back up. That's why it's over.

That's funny right there! You know all about those wild statements since you're throwing them out so frequently.

Thats where your wrong, and you guys keep trying to throw me into that category. Things aren't black and white. Its not all in, or out. I believe God is God, period. I think RELIGION is a man made evil, an attempt to control the masses, a pathetic attempt to explain the unexplainable (at the time). Thats all. You can have faith, and not follow a religion.

That what I have been trying to get across. not that you CAN'T believe, but that why can't you open your eyes and see whats going on ? For people to say the world being 10k years old is far fetched ??? Your ignorant. Plain and simple (and sorry to be so blunt). There are scientist who are also a Priest, and even they acknowledge the world being older the 6k, and even 10k. They acknowledge dino's and other PRE-man creations. They realize, if God created all, he did NOT do so in 6 LITERAL days, but rather 6 of HIS days, and who is to know how long HIS days are ? You guys have plenty to argue, with good points you COULD be bringing up. But you don't. You simply blow us off and say "i'll pray for you". Why Pray ? Doesn't God have a Devine plan ??? Why pray ? You think he will re-write and change his whole plan just for you ??? A little selfish don't you think ? Worship is fine, but to pray is imposing on a friendship, no ? Asking a little much ? Doesn't He already have a plan ? What if what you pray for isn't in His plan ? Does he HAVE to listen to everyone whine and complain about the littlest things ? Man, that woudl SUCK.

Nothing "in depth" nothing "factual" but very funny, and an interesting way to look at it. I personally agree with much of what he is saying. Even if you don't, watch the whole thing just for chits and giggles. See what he says, and how he says it. He brings up good points. 12 minutes might be way too much of your guy's busy time though....

Sorry Merc, you're wrong. It is all in the Bible. Everything. Sorry you're so closed minded to be able to see it, since you are so well versed and completely understand everything in the Bible.

The Lord’s Prayer (Wikipedia version):

And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Notice the prominence of God’s will. Next you ask to keep on living, to have your sins be forgiven, and to be able to follow God’s instructions (not sin.) Close it up with an acknowledgment of God’s magnificence, and you’re done. Asking for anything outside of those boundaries is, as you say, ridiculous – but you can’t really blame that one on the Bible.

Funny stuff, though I prefer his germ routine (language warning):

That’s what sucks about free will. If God flew down from heaven every time somebody hurt someone else, free will would be kind of a joke. That’s not to say God is silent on those issues, though – it’s entirely possible that the molestation was stopped sooner than it otherwise would have without some kind of divine intervention. If you die and it turns out God is more than a made up concept, you can ask him.
