Black National Anthem

We knew someone would bring this up sooner or later. And well yall bastards took too long so here it is.

WTF is a black national anthem? Seems to me if white people had a 'White National Anthem' we would all be racist. Gotta love the double standard. Also really classy of her to swap it without asking first

Exactly. People like that need to be given the boot from this country. Our founding fathers would not have hesitated to do so.

Well, back in the days of segregation, Jim Crow etc. people of color were not allowed to do or go in certain places. There was division and as a result Black people had their own substitute for things that legally were not allow to them. Although American citizens Blacks were treated second rate and hence did not feel that the American Anthem and other things applied to them since they did not enjoy the freedoms of others. The Black Nation Anthem came about as a result. I take it that this was before your time. Might need to check up on some things before you start talking. As for the singer changing the song I am not justifying what was done but even today there is still inequality. I take it that the switch was done as a reminder of that or some type or protest which is nothing new.

I think it's time that people forgive and forget. Yes slavery was not good but it's over. No one is owed anything. Making a black, white, hispanic (insert ethnicity here) anthem is crazy. Racism is wrong. Guess what? There will always be racist people. Black or white doesnt matter. Let's move on.
