Exactly! That's REALLY what she wanted in the first place. Don't let yourself be fooled 99.999% of the time when a stunt like this is pulled, it's to bring attention to some "Cause".

Since 2001 there have been 3 non-caucasian Miss Americas. I think they are doing a fair job representing the population.

Their photos can be found linked at the bottom of this article (with the exception of the 2001 winner).

College admission actively oppresses other minorities.

Two students apply. One is of Asian decent with a 3.8 GPA. One is white, black, or hispanic with a 3.8 GPA. The Asian student is less likely to be admitted. That isn't right.

If preferences are going to be given (and I'm not saying they should be), they should be given based on socio-economic background, not on race.

We are the one and only to do something like this ... I'm by no means a racist. I've got plenty of black friends and I listen to a lot of hip hop so don't play a race card on me. It's a shame because there are a few African Americans who don't like it because they know what is going on is wrong, too.
I agree, and I have had enough. Go ahead and label me a racist as the word has been whored out & hardly has any meaning. Seems that anything turns racial when the black man doesnt get his way. Im tired of giving into it

This is in no way a blanket statement for all African Americans, just describing the small percentage of the AA population that are the main reason for ongoing poor race relations in the country. This small percentage are the ones who are afraid to move forward and do what it takes to improve their own lives. These give the hard working, ambitious AA's a bad name. In this country today, everyone is given the opportunity to succeed in life, IF THEY WORK HARD TO SUCCEED. I place the idiot singer in this small percentage.

Agreed, but small precentage is not what I see. Im in Houston and got all the Katrina refugees. I get to wake up to the same story every day. A couple months ago a steak undercooked at a resteraunt was apparently the White cook being racist against the black customer. It took all I had to stay in my seat while the poor manager explained it was in no way a race related issue. You just cant seem to get away from it here in Houston

So it becomes racial when the black man does not get his way....
or
if/when he does get his way, its because of an unfair system and you giving in?

for a black person to say "you white people.." this and that... is fine.. but we can't even cook a steak without being racist..

You guys will never change...

LOL-

Poor choice? Yes. But, you gotta admit... She sang it well, and- you know how big your b***s would have to be, to get up there and sing something other than the National Anthem, in front of a room full of white folks...

That took cajones.

PS- I'm black, been black my whole life, grew up in a majority black town, went to a 95% black school, and didn't know we had a black national anthem.

No double standard????? Are you serious?????
What kind of music do you listen to? I personally don't listen to rap, but they say ***** in it all the time.
Now, I'm assuming you're black anaheim. I am white. Now if I walked up to you and said, "Whats up *****?". Would you get mad or not?

If you were walking down the street and heard a group of white people dropping ***** left and right, would you get upset and think they were racist?

The only way it was a racist statement would be that he is prejudice against a typical white person.
That would be based on his view on who a typical white person is
