I would love to hear Obama answer some questions. I cant wait for the debates! What I cut and pasted on here in the first post is a valid question. I want to know how people can justifiy the robin hood way of society? Steel from the rich and give to the poor. Though I may not be necessarily in the "rich" class I still do not believe that people that work hard for their money should have to help the people who dont.

Ok, do I defend 100% or 7% ?
BigMans' cut&paste is 511 words, only 36 words were attributed to Obama.
I'll go for his 36 words, if that's ok?

First a caveat, HE WAS SPEAKING TO A FIVE YEAR OLD.

That said, Universal Health Care could be compared to my automobile insurance policy.
I have paid auto insurance for 36 freaking years and have NEVER filed a claim,
yet my rates have increased over the decades.
It's totaled about $45,000 in premiums.
It's not voluntary, if I don't pay I can't drive legally.

Some of you out there have had accidents, big ones and you've been at fault.
You screwed up, I paid.

I don't like it but, that's how the world turns.
The damn ins co took my slice of pizza outa my hands and gave it to you!
Now YOU are gonna cough up some god damn pizza whether you like it or not!

(...see, Obama knew that way wouldn't go over to good with a five year old)

I also believe insurance is the biggest scam on the planet.

And if you do not vote for Obama mama then he cant put his socialist plans into effect. Why would you want someone to raise taxes in order to help the lazy?

I had a claim not too long ago and I have a couple tickets right now. I am using progressive and they raised my rates from $118 up to $210 just for one stupid little claim.

From the tone of this thread, andof the others that I have seen you post...you really do not want anything explained...you just want to rant...am I correct in that assumption? I have no problems with disagreement--I like nether candidate.

You see...I have reffed HS and colege athletics for 35 years---and I have heard comments like yours quite often. When a coach says, "Hey, Ref, can I ask you a question? Can you expalin that call that you just made?" My response to him is, "Do you want an honest answer, or are you going to bitch at whatever I say? If you answer the first, we can have a dialogue; if you want the second, well, the conversation has ended..."

Yep---and now many insurance companies are using credit ratings as well to determine insuarance rates---it seems that they have discovered that there is a "corolary" sp? between driving habits and credit ratings. My company---Allstate---is using them.

I have Tennessee Farm Bureau insurance and I filed a claim and my insurance premium went DOWN when I renewed.

About the original question, I think if you make more, you pay more.
