This one says 51.5 lbs But the largest "on record" is 44.4 from Canada I think

Dang, my parents are from New England and they eat Maine lobster all the time. They couldn't believe the size of that. They said the meat gets crappy the bigger they are though. I dunno, I've never had it. Not a fan of seafood.

It's like a cow vs. a calf (veal). Basically because the bigger the lobster is, the older it is, the more the muscles are moved around and become harsher/ w/e. Anyways with veal they put the calf in a confined area to severely limit the use of it's muscles. This way the meat is nice and tender I think that is why it would taste different/worse
