That's right I remember the 2020. What is so interesting to me about this truck, no desire to really change anything. Plenty of power stock, great throttle response, all the little comforts. I love the vinyl seats and vinyl floor. Just so easy to clean. Ford really did a good job on these. The newer seats are super comfortable. All around they've done a solid job.

I agree. Sometimes I wish it had a little more exhaust noise but that is it.

Agreed. At first I thought I'd put an exhaust on it but once I realized it snarls pretty good if you step on it a bit, I figured the trade off wasn't enough to risk drone or it being loud other times when I don't want it that way.

Hope you are doing well with everything

Doing well other than having cataract surgery this afternoon. At my age you tend to go from one problem to the next but it beats the alternative. 😂

I used to think that. I caught a mild case of zombieism (also known as Multiple Sclerosis) and get to look forward to the rest of my life in pain, losing my mind and control of my bodily functions. yay me.

Impressive vehicles!

about a month ago had cataract surgery on right eye and was supposed to get second eye done the next week. The following morning I passed out on bathroom floor for 5 to 10 minutes. Got a little better but any exertion caused loss of breath. Ended up at the emergency room in Burleson then EMS to downtown Ft Worth hospital. Ran all kinds of heart tests, ended up being blood clots that were lodged in the lungs. They did a procedure using a catheter going into the artery in my groin, thru my heart into my lungs and vacuumed the clots out. Fun experience. Four days in the hospital but now all is good. Guess I’m lucky to be 80 and first hospital visit. The doctors kind of sucked but the nurses were just great. The whole experience was more complicated because my long time primary care physician was retiring and I was trying to locate a new one. Not all the easy at my age but think it’s all worked out well now. I also think that proper clothes https://www.unfinishedman.com/how-to...r-own-clothes/ i must have for this vehicle

The good part is there does not seem to be any permanent heart damage from the stress of pushing oxygen thru stopped up lungs. The surgeon showed me the mess he vacced out. Kind of scary. Now on a blood thinner for two more months but all is good.
Wow, what a journey! That sounds like an incredibly intense and scary experience—passing out, finding out it was blood clots in the lungs, and then going through a catheter procedure through your heart... that’s no small ordeal. You're definitely tough, and it's amazing to hear you're doing well now, especially at 80 and with that being your first hospital stay. That’s impressive in itself!

It’s also great that there wasn’t any permanent heart damage and that the blood thinners are just temporary. Sounds like you’ve handled all this with a lot of resilience, even with the added stress of needing to find a new primary care doc right in the middle of everything.

Glad you had great nurses by your side—it makes such a difference. Hopefully now it’s all smooth sailing, and you’ll be back to getting that second eye done soon. Stay strong and keep us posted—you’ve definitely earned some bragging rights after all that!

So how does that make it better? When there is no relief it tends to wear even the strongest person down. With that said, I can deal with pain. Back in the day, I was a gym rat. The best part of going to the gym was the delayed onset muscle soreness. Your muscles only get that delayed reaction, if they are challenged. Now on top of that lose your mind, your stamina and the ability to move and control your bowels.

Back before records were kept online I was ranked in the top 10 nationally for my sport. I took college classes and had the textbook memorized in 2-3 weeks. I was always well in the top 10% in every career I engaged in. Now I can't walk to the fridge without needing a break for a minute. Busy 16 hour days were frequent and enjoyable. Now a busy 8 hours takes a few days to recover. I have to write everything down or put reminders in my phone, or it is forgotten. I don't get good sleep anymore due to the nerve pain. Meds don't touch the pain.

Nope. Neither does diet, exercise, this gadget, that gadget, those smoothies, being vegan, being keto, acupuncture, acupressure, more vitamins, or less vitamins. Meditation works on state of mind and as a result can affect the health of your body. Medications slow progression and reduce some of the symptoms to semi-manageable levels.

I kind of get a chuckle with some of the Facebook pages I follow. It seems many of them decided to go to a chat room format rather than posting on their pages. I hated chatrooms. It was like trying to listen to everyone at a party and if it was busy enough, by the time you posted a response to a comment it was buried. You could only engage with people when they are online, so if you miss a conversation, you miss it. I quit interacting with many of those groups, because it is so difficult to follow the popular ones.
