Took these yesterday...temp was close to 80 degrees and I needed to get out of the house!! Truck just made 3 yrs old and only has 31K miles on it. Probably 75K if I was still working.

Big difference since I retired. I use to put a hundred miles a day or more just commuting to work so the fuel savings plus wear and tear on my truck are money in my pocket. As you would know when we moved out here in the country in 2008 gas had just gone up to $4 dollars a gallon. My '04 Lariat would average 16 mpg so I used right at 6 gals per day round trip. $24 dollars a day just for the privilege of going to work.
Yet another big shot of snow here. Crazy to see so much, probably 10+ inches since noon yesterday. Now they are calling for another couple of inches tomorrow. All well, off to LA on Monday, should be nicer down there!
After I parked the truck to run into the grocery store, some old dude told me I was a "Little Hooligan", lol.
What motor oil do you guys use? I'm gonna change the oil in the Grand Marquis this week.
I've been using the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend with a Motorcraft filter. I've been on the 5K mile change schedule and no oil related problems. This is been on my last 3 trucks. Just use whatever weight is recommended for the Merc's engine.
Just some cleaning up today by the contractor's and the camp will be finished. New wood on porches and steps so we'll have to wait a few month's before we can seal it. We may paint the pilings and cross bracing white to match the vinyl on the garage.

Looks like it turned out well -- has that building survived a "big one" yet?
The camp survived Katrina and Gustav...had some damage but nothing major. Some bad storms have hit Grand Isle over the years but people keep rebuilding just like Galveston!
