Let's start over......
Yup only state requirements on the switch is it has to "be within reach of the driver" and I believe it has to be a momentary switch, meaning it can be like a toggle switch that stays on.
I'm done with these used car lots in dfw. Checked out 5 vehicles and was told great shape and ended up they were junk! Odometer sitting at 450 miles when we decided to leave ft worth. Now headed to Lubbock to check out 2 more. Going to end up around 950 miles today round trip. Then figure 550 last Saturday on a bogus trip.

Send the damn idiots the bill that think they are in great shape
The one I made the trip for looked great in pictures and according to salesman it was very nice. Get there and it has 2 holes in the the front bumper where it looks like they tried to cut out the headlight washers. Rear tires had large weather cracks that I stuck my pinkie finger in (not joking) dents scuffs and dings. Interior had been smoked in for years.
2nd one was just as bad and beat to hell,
3rd one in Carrollton looked ok until I got up close and they did the touch up paint over the entire vehicle that was 2 shades off and a flat tire. Then the dumbass salesman says take it for a drive, he didn't even know the tire was flat
Atleast the ol EB still does good on fuel mileage. Cruise set on 80, battled stop and go traffic in Fort Worth, Dallas, Richardson then back towards ft worth. Around 100 miles all in town

2005 XLT with the 3.0 Duratec -- owned it since new with rigorous preventative maintenance all its life. Within the last few thousand miles -- new brakes all the way around, new tires, full tune-up (plugs, PCV, rear bank coils), new battery, new alternator. I did all this work thinking we were going to keep the vehicle at least another couple of years and then I ran into the 2008 Taurus and our plans changed. 167,000 miles and I figure I should get $4500 for it.
