Over 5 inches of rain last night and it's still raining. 20 percent chance last night

 

Heading out the door for an inspection this afternoon in Kerrville. Have another all day inspection in San Antonio tomorrow, and then traveling back to Houston on Wednesday for (hopefully) the rest of the week!

It's was kinda funny, the announcer said after a good rain with cool temps these engines may come alive, firSt pass down the lake and he got the record. 2nd race they hit 258mph. I couldn't imagine that kind of speed on the water

 

Yep, it definitely doesn't rest much! Especially since I got the tunes, it's just so much fun to drive!

Also, the alternative is my fiancé's Hyundai Sonata, and I barely fit in that thing, so I usually drive everywhere.

 

I spent the last few hours try to get the inside of the cavalier dried out. Leaving the windows down with 5 inches of rain wasn't a smart idea. Totally forgot they were down until this morning. Had water standing in floorboards and seat's soaked.

I used my wet dry vac for a while and got alot of water up along with leaving the windows down for the rest of the day. It's dried out pretty good

I now have stains on the seats and carpets, I'm guessing from years of dirt inside the seats and once they got wet turned it into stains. Not sure if I'm going to tackle the stains or just say screw it. Looks like crap though

 

Coy, pull the floor mats (the ones on top of the carpet) and leave them out for a few days. Park that bad boy in a sunny area, if you have one. Roll down the windows and put a fan in there to move the air and put baking soda all over the carpet and seats. Let it dry out REAL good then vac out the baking soda. If you don't let it dry out REAL good the odor in your truck will smell like Lilacs by comparison!

 

Windows have been down since around 10am, never thought about a fan though. I think I'll pull it in the garage and run the fan all night long then see where I stand in the morning.

Yea when it comes to drying out air is better than heat. If you have a dehumidifier that would be good too.

 

Now I know why I never roll the windows down on my Cavalier......

 

Since the engine fan isn't working the ac sucks so I don't have a choice .

Plan on doing the fan either tomorrow or Wednesday and get back to normal.

 

It looks like someone bled-out at one point in time on the passenger's seat.....
