Sounds like a nice drive.

I wish that chicken fried steak would quit popping up every time I open the thread. Makes me want to go get one.

Stopped at the bridge to Grand Isle and took a few pics...mid 70's and sunny!

Shrimp trawler coming in from the Gulf.

New bridge to the island.

He had to lower his booms to clear the bridge.

Caminada Pass going out to the Gulf of Mexico.

Truck stayed clean after I washed it real good for the Christmas Parade 10 days ago!

We put bow's on the columns last night so I had to take pictures and e-mail them to the wife...one of the girls at the office made them.

Just think how sweet it would have been if you could have listened to the sweet rumble of a 5.0 on the drive!

House looks good, Paw -- I like when they raise the profile of the home by building it up over a crawlspace. The slab-on-grade they use so much over here in Texas just doesn't have the same architectural appeal.

Thanks...our house is a two section modular that we needed to get into as fast as possible. Wife's brother sells these homes so we got it from him. 2 sections shipped on trailer frames from Georgia. 2300 sq ft and plenty big for 2 people!

2 sections on foundation and started bricking.

This is the front section.

9 27 07 working on foundation

9 27 07 first section arriving

Big difference when finished!

The rest of my week is pretty much booked. Have to look at a large multi-family project here in Houston today that has been inundated with all the rain we've had here in Texas this fall. Thursday I have to get up, clean the kitchen in the morning, and then bop back over to San Antonio in the afternoon to be there in time for the Friday morning field repair of the job I looked at there on Monday.

Taking next week off since I have family coming in from Minnesota for the Holidays. Cool to see family and all, but they are staying from Monday the 21st to Monday the 28th -- that's a LONG time to keep company entertained! If things get too bad I might have to whip-up a batch of Cannabis brownies -- that will keep them entertained for at least an afternoon......

Paw -- so I guess the upper roof sections came out as a separate shipment? Was the interior finished, or did you build it out once it was on site?
