Let's start over......
Leave on a 11 day trip and get back to 2 weeks of work around the house. Yard work done and pressure washed the carport and driveway...now my back is killing me. I need to go back to work to take a break!
Retirement is a killer! That's why I still work part time. Recovery time.

When I finished yesterday evening I had to take 2 Aleve to ease the back pain...my oldest daughter calls and wanted me to help today at their chamber of commerce golf tourney today. That means working your butt off setting up tents..tables...chairs and helping with cooking. I've done it a few times and it's brutal. Told her no way...not today. Now my job is to go and pressure wash the camp in Grand Isle next week...hope she gets me some help because that's a big job too!
Getting some good rain this morning! we sure need it, missed out on it all last week.
The old cavalier reached 2 milestones this morning.. 1. Rolled over 158k miles and 2. Best fuel mileage to date. Light just came on at 423 miles and by the time i get back in town should be at the 450 mark. It will be somewhere around the 35mpg mark. Usually only get 330 to 350 on a tank

Put over 1100 miles on mine last week alone, which translates into over $500.00 going into my "toy car fund" after taking out for the cost of gas. With what I've got saved so far I should be able to do something pretty fun about this time next year!
Let me know if you need help spending all that extra dough
I've never gotten 35 mpg out of mine -- 31-32 mpg is typical on a tank if it's all highway miles and that's about the best I can do. It drops down to 27-28 if it's mostly just short trips around town. Still decent and I love being able to pile all the miles on the Cavalier and keep them off my other vehicles!

Will find out for sure this afternoon what the actual mpg is. May not be 35 but should be in the vicinity. best i have got is 31mpg on a complete tank. For what they are these are pretty decent little cars.
My local city went to flashing yellow means yield. And two years later people still don't know what to do
