I'm honestly surprised to read all of this. I don't think I've ever met anyone here who doesn't like DST.

It takes my body a month to adjust to getting up earlier, going to bed at a different time. It means I have to get up in the dark instead of as the sun comes up. It means I have an extra hour of yard work( hate yard work). If God meant for us to have that schedule, he would have delayed the sun an hour!

It's a Yankee thing that has been forced on the South!

I guess I've never thought much about DST -- although I know the wife hates it because she says it makes her 1st graders a major "PIA" until they adjust to the time change......

Hmm. Interesting perspective. I do more stuff in the afternoon and evening, so I'd rather have the light during that time instead of the morning. I suppose if I were a morning person I would agree with you.

What about the poor farmers and livestock? How would you feel if your test was grabbed an hour earlier just when you were making the most milk. Or if just when you were getting serious about laying an egg, you were knocked off your roost to see if there was one there? It's just not natural!

The industrial north imposing will on agricultural south.
