Have an acre with lots of trees, flower beds and gardens. Use a rider where I can then a walker where it can't go.

No Sleep Tonight, We have a fire about 5 miles from the house moving slowly this way, Volunteer Fire Dept started beating the door down about a hour ago to let us know. Wife and Kiddo left and went to a hotel for safety reasons. I'm staying here with both water hoses hoping i can soak everything down around the house. All i see is a Orange glow in the sky when i look to the west. Sheriff's Dept told me if it gets within a mile i would have to leave. One good thing is the wind is pretty calm right now so hoping they can get it under control.

I think we are alright.. The Sheriff pulled up a few min's ago and said they have it 85 percent contained, with the calm wind it hasn't moved much at all and they are making fast progress on it.

Man this is the 4th time in 6 years something like this has happened. He told me they think a car pulled off the road and the exhaust caught the grass on fire.
