Sitting here watching the birds at the feeders, the butterfly's on the flowers, Maggie waiting on a squirrel to come by. Nice quiet morning. Good way to have my coffee. Getting older and slowing down a bit is not all bad.

I have a tough decision coming up. Several of the guys I worked with in Athens are starting up a new company and want me to be the Controller. Would be fun to work with them again but just not sure I want to work that hard again. A startup is very demanding of your time. Have to decide in the next 45 days of so. Would be more fun and more rewarding but working 3 days a week has its appeal, too.

if ya value yer time off then stick with the 3 day work week

if yer up to the challenge and feel like ya can take the extra stress and tension then go fer that one....

if it were me at your age I'd stick with the 3 day work week....imo

I just have to stay busy. If I'm not doing something outside, I'm reading. I read a book about every two days. The startup challenge is both intriguing and a turn off. Fun but maybe too much fun at this stage. Several of the guys involved are almost my age.

Oh, we talk. Or maybe I should say she talks, I listen. She's encouraging me to do it but leaving the decision to me.

You do whatever you want, you've earned it. It is good to hear what others think, but in the end go with your own feeling on this.

You aren't a bunch older than me and I understand the keeping busy part. Doing a start up can/will keep you busy, but is it the kind of busy you want? I know in my own case I love to hate my work. Pissed if I have too much and pissed if I don't have enough! Guess that is just a geezer thing!

I guess what I'm trying to say is satisfy yourself (job wise) , and go for what you enjoy.

Good luck on the decision!
