I was hoping to be 1 and done at jury duty today. No such luck, gotta go back tomorrow. At least work pays me for it!

If I get called its only $45 a day.....no work reimbursement

And people wonder why I get out of it....civic duty my ****

They court system only pays $10/day and .05 cents a mile.

My work pays me for a full days pay.

The circuit clerk said it was AL state law that your employer make up the difference.

Now I'm wondering why people hate it so much? I didn't have to be there till 830, got a three hour lunch and was home by 4. Don't have to be there till 915 tomorrow.

Yep...its good thing that your employer steps up and pays you.
