Let's start over......
I used to rake and bag the leaves. One year, I filled 75 of the large leaf bags. Now, I try to stay up with them as they fall and mulch them.

This talk reminds me that I have to get some deck boards replaced, the deck painted/restained and the pool cover on before the leaves start falling.

Ya I know....the boy gets confirmed in two weeks and the wife is chomping at the bit to get the place spiffed up....front steps need some touch up stain....
I've always just mulched.....never ever bagged leaves.....
It was preached that the mulching would smother the St Augustine root system and cause disease and mold. I finally tried it and have never had a problem. Still rake up a bunch from the beds and pathways, but probably a third of what I used to do.

Yep, I understand. Especially maintenance people. At the rent house, our landlord is a cousin, so it's not a big deal. It's nice to tell him when something is broke and not worry about it.

I'd trade yard work for painting any day. Yea, I hate painting. Thank god paneling and knotty pine were invented. I'm all over that.
Brew, are you a house painter?
