yea we saw one today (open house) that had noticeable foundation issues, doors that wouldnt latch closed, sagging walls/ceilings. And they still were asking 187k for it. IIRC it was a early 80s house too

naw, we're only about 40 minutes up the road so we'll be back down, due to the titans/raider pre-season game we got out of town early

I was being serious, with what material prices are right now you could build or have a pretty nice house built for that price. But that's basing them off what I am seeing right now at work, lumber and OSB seem to be pretty flat and the only thing that's going up at the moment are nails and steel products.

There is a way to do it but I don't think Sarah would be to happy about it. Build the shop/garage first with an appartment in it and build the house as you have time.

Kind of like this.

Thats how my grandparents did it, built a 3 car garage, with a tiny apartment in the single garage stall, and they were there to oversee the main house being built
