Let's start over......

I buy breakfast and lunch and bring the drinks. It's the least I can do.

Of course I bring about 5 rod/reels and a compact assortment of my fishing stockpile. I think he has an Academy sized supply of soft plastics up front. Impressive setup.

Well got the plugs done today. Started doing them at 10:30am and by time it was all said and done it was 7:22pm. It was successful for the most part and it really wasn't bad to do at all.
I broke 2 out of 8 on the drivers side. I started off with the passenger side since it looked the hardest. Got all 4 of those plugs out no problem. Squirted carb clean in the holes as I took the plugs out then went and started removing them 1/4 turn at a time. Then I got over to the drivers side (engine was cold by now) and the first one and second one came out no problem and then the last 2 broke. The old Lisle tool sure does work really good, it was the easiest thing to use.
However, I took it for a test drive and it was missing REALLY bad. Went back to the garage and hooked up the computer and it said missing cylinder 1. So I switched 1 and 2's coils and I still had a miss on cylinder 1. Then I switched spark plugs with 1 and 2. Still had a miss, hooked up the computer and cylinder 2 had a misfire! So I got a defective plug. Called all around and all anyone had was Autolites for $12.99. I really didn't want to spend $13 on a plug I didn't even want so I stuck an old one in for now and it fixed the problem. Tomorrow I'm going to go and order another Motorcraft.
The plugs were in pretty bad shape. One of them barely had the electrode left and the other ones were pretty bad as well. I couldn't believe how much smoother it ran and idled. It shifts smooth as butter now, took away a ping I didn't really notice before and around 55mph in OD it'd act like the tranny was skipping. I think it was a low grade misfire because it hasn't done it since I put the new plugs in. Put about 55 miles on it tonight and it's runnin great!

Kenseth is gonna get it, Wish Edwards would get up there but looks like he is a top 10 car, go figure... Mark Martin took a hard hit that last caution
I can just imagine. But, now you have pride knowing you did it yourself, plus you saved some dollars.

Ya, it felt pretty good once it was done. It's true the more noise they make the better off you are.
I did it in one of my friends garage and I knew when I broke one before I got it out. I said on both of them "this one broke" and he thought that was the most amazing thing I knew they were broke before it was out

Good job!
I am wiped out! 7 hours of yard work. Too tired to eat. I decided I should take a look at my K&N drop in. There was a pile of leaves you would not bekieve, in the box. Had to vac them out. All those live oaks in the yard at the East Texas house.
