Patrick, you don't recommend the Ebay coils that are mentioned on here all the time?

Just got my replacement LED for the overhead console. Sure does look funny. I'm going to have to go out there when I get a break and see if it looks like this is going to fit.

I've wondered the same. Lots of the guys have gone the ebay route. Jbrew really pushes them. The thing is, they are so cheap, you can buy 2 sets incase you get a bad one. Less than $200 for 2 sets. You pay that for two of the Ford coils.

Im old school in the sense that i like to replace with the same part i took off, especially on engine components. Im not saying that all the aftermarket brands are garbage, just if factory works why replace it with an unknown

There was some discussion that they were made in the same plant. Of course, that doesn't mean they have to be to the same specs, even if they are. I'm pretty much old school too, but that is a lot of price difference.

Before you start pulling plugs, you might want to take a peek at the throttle body. If it's all gunked up, it hurts your idle and could be the cause of what you are experiencing.

dang, never thought about that. Now why didn't I think of that. You have a point there too, since I have never cleaned it before. Just regular throttle body cleaner will work, right?
