Best $300 I ever spent...I love Craigslist!!!!!

Check it out - I picked it up Friday after work. It's a 96 Coleman Fleetwood Pop Up I scored for $300.

More pics here if you want to see them:

https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?num=12673

I've got another $275 in it right now with the mattresses, bedding, curtains, etc... I bought it off an older couple who had it on Craiglist for about an hour. They posted a pic of it collapsed and said it had mice damage. They didn't want to deal with it anymore I guess. I bought it closed, they wouldn't open it. I cleaned it out and found 3 dead mice. There were about 12-15 patches I had to throw on the screens and canvass. The canvass has stains but the wife and I are going to try and scrub them out over the next couple of days. I powerwashed the outside and no leaks whatsoever on the inside.

This has everything: Fridge, 2 propane tanks, screened in awning, outside stove, heater (no AC), 2 king beds, electric brakes, fresh water tank, sink with fresh water pump. I added a microwave and a stereo and called it a day. Everything works also. Nothing has to be replaced.

It may need a new canvass in a few years but still, that's $900 tops. Used PUPs in and around the same year in much much worse condition than this are going for $2500 on Ebay. I figure if I need to, I'll get around $3000 for this all day long in it's current condition. More if I invest in a new canvass. But this one doesn't even leak with the patches I threw on. I could care less about the stains, it's camping after all. This is so ideal for the family.

I don't think I've ever gotten a deal remotely close to this one. Craigslist rocks.

BTW, heres a helpful hint: Drop the stability legs until they are just touching the ground and then put in your door before you level it because it's impossible to latch the door in place with the roof askew an inch or two.

Sweet! I just got a Pop-up over the weekend myself. My uncle gave it to me, it's a 1990 Coleman Shenandoah. Roughly the same size as your's just not as new. Looks to be the same layout though. I'll post pics soon.

Holy COW! $300????

That is amazing! You're going to love it. We upgraded from tent camping to a pop-up two years ago. Pop-ups ROCK! Ours is a 2006 Jayco 1207.

Check out this web site for great pop-up forum: http://www.arveeclub.com/

Modding a PUP is just as fun as Modding a truck!

Good to see a fellow Michigander on the boards. I work in Ann Arbor, I'm heading down to Fox Tent and Awning this afternoon. Thanks for the suggestion on the forum. I'll check it out.

I redid a 1967 19' travel trailer and 1983 Palomino PUP before, so I've got some experience. Both turned out well and I flipped them both for a profit on Ebay. This one is definately a keeper though, at least for the next 3 or 4 years.

I was a member of "popupexplorer.com" but I droppped off after I sold the other 2. I think I'll give your forum a try. We went out 4 times last summer with the 83 Palomino, had a blast but it was a pain in the **** to set up. This thing is good to go in 20 minutes. I want to start modding this one but the wife has her reservations because it's so nice. We'll see. I'd like to take the decals off of the outside and incorporate some kind of blue, the same blue on my F150. Haven't decided what to do just yet though. I think it would look good when I'm pulling it with the f150 if I have a matching color scheme.

Looks nice and clean inside -- good deal!

I'm going to be investing in one sometime over the next few years myself -- as soon as my son is old enough to go camping with the old man and enjoy it. The wife looks at me sideways everytime I tell her we're getting a pop-up (her idea of "roughing it" is staying at a Holiday Inn) but I say "f-her" -- the kid and I will go alone if she doesn't want to be a trooper!
