They reported directly to the Gestapo, who were the quasi State Police.

By the way, have you ever glanced in your rearview mirror and seen anyone looking at you and writing in a notebook?
Seig Heil!!! lmao

I woulda bet my last buck thinking you were just clowning around.

I've been to Vernon, it doesnt exactly strike me as a place that's littered with maniac drivers.

Are you related to the OP by any chance?

I'll tell my friend Mike he has a twin across the border, he will be pleased.

** I'm just curious, for any of you closet log-book keepers out there, what would happen in a place like Montreal?
How could one possibly keep up with all the entries? As soon as you start recording one bad drivers license plate, another 4 would go flying by.
I think you would need a rather large staff to help you.

Maybe you could take the wife, kids, grand=parents, and make it a nice family day outing, where everyone works together to help conquer the evil speeders of the world, and do their part to rat them out.

Maybe I'm wrong, it just seems like an awful lot of energy applied to something that's gonna get you a net result of NOTHING. (besides high blood pressure)

You think he doesn't know you've been to Vernon?
You're on page 17, 23, and two times on page 41.

I haven't really found much in Vernon... but mainly in Utica, Rome, and some of the other cities around here.

I think of it as a courtesy... I don't have to spend my time copying plate #s.. and taking the time to go over there give them to them. In fact, it's actually costing me money.

But I'm nice to them because I've got a few friends that are state police and park officers.

So do you know for fact that the police actually go and give people tickets for what you are reporting?

Because with just a plate # and just your word as evidence, I would imagine the cops just treat it as a complaint.

Okay guys, I've been busy around town lately and forgot about this post. I understand that the guy probably had a real emergency but he was actually "toying" around with me like following all of my turns and speeding up and slowing down. I'm pretty sure he wasn't in a rush anywhere. In fact, it happened today on the way home about an hour ago. Same damn road, a 5.0 Fox would not get off my ***. I tried to slow down and let him pass, but when I speed up he stayed withing 10 feet of my rear bumper. I thought about the brake check but I was too tired to play around. I only did the police siren thing for about 10 sec to see if he even attempted anything. It's not like I do it everytime I go everywhere. Besides, I think the wind rushing through my bumper cancelled it out anyway.

The video thought intrigued me, but most of the time these idiots go and play on the road is when I'm either pulling down the trash or coming home with groceries or something. I try to keep my video cam in the truck most of the time, but sometimes I don't. I keep seeing repeat speeders all the time, and pretty soon I'll just to complain to the Sherriff's office. I actually saw one of our local Police Dept's new Charger's camping on the side of the road last night. Pretty weird since in our county the PD stays in city limits while the Sheriff's office does county work.

I would not be having such a fuss about this if it were the highway or something but the roads around here are like really old and cracky and stuff. Our county disregards the condition of the roads and stuff but goes out and buys 40 new police vehicles with money they "didnt" have.

ManualF150, you have a picture of this logbook? I think you should be volunteer police officer of the year! :santa:

1.) Let me rephrase that: "I drove my vehicle in front of hers to lessen air resistance. We were going a good 20 miles and it may not have helped but it didn't hurt, either. Better?

2.) I don't get mad when ppl pass me. It ticks me off when they ride my ***, taunt me by speeding up and slowing down, finger, etc when I'm on my way home.

3.) Just found out my PA is useless when the truck is going faster than 45. The wind rushing through the bumper cancels out what little sound it produces.

So the guy had a real emergency but wasn't in a rush to go anywhere? He was following on a road and even along the turns in the road? GASP! It must have been horrifying!

Priceless....

You complain about others driving like idiots, ( aka slowing down and speeding up ) and yet admit to doing the same thing and contemplate brake checking someone......oh and use the "siren" again to boot!

And I won't even go into the damning video evidence presented here...

You and Manual better watch out you don't bust each other acting like idiots! It's not like you haven't recorded yourself "playing" on the roads....

I will put plain and simple. You have a bad case of ROAD RAGE. Do you really think your protecting the public by acting out against these "offenders"?

Well the guy looked in his rearview and floored it doing like 90 now.

Keep digging...

Oh and since you did it "only for 10 seconds" I'm sure that the po-po wouldn't bust you for that. By the way, is that considered a FELONY where you are located? Impresenating an officer of the law is what they call it up in my neck of the woods.

Good luck with that drafting at 20 mph

Kids these days...

First off, you don't know his circumstances, maybe he got a call from his mom who needs to be rushed to the hospital, maybe he has a very good reason for risking the ticket.

Or maybe he doesn't, regardless this isn't something that concerns you.
When I get some guy like that behind me, I even pull over as much as I can to let him go, I don't want a guy like that on my bumper, good riddance.

Here's what to do:

Just worry about yourself.

If more people just worried about themselves instead of sticking their nose in others people business, there would be so much less drama in the world.

You can't get worked up everytime you see someone doing something they shouldn't, otherwise you will work yourself into a tizzy.

I play cards with this guy every Friday,
his name is Mike "That's Not Fair" Taylor.

The dude bitches and moans about all this pointless stuff that has no affect on his life, he's just bitter that certain people seem to get away with things he can't, and this makes him an angry and miserable ***** who lets this stuff consume him.

The thing is, LIFE IS NOT FAIR, the sooner you understand this, the sooner you will stop trying to get people to yield to your point of view.

Don't be a Mike.
Good post

But I was also thinking about getting a dash top video camera and possibly a rear mount video camera and video tape these offenders.

I do know if you do catch someone doing wrong on the highway with a video, and proof of time/date, the person can be charged by having the video examined.
You are possibly the strangest person ever...
