Wants vs. Needs?

Okay. I get paid roughly $350 every 2 weeks from Wendy's. I've been wanting to get several things for my truck but needs have been creeping up on me. I average about $130 out of that $350 for gas (2 weeks worth) and at least $50 in the bank and this paycheck I owe my dad $50. Leaves me with....(runs some lab tests)....$130 in the pockets.

Wants:
(Operation Lighthouse)
Chrome Lightning-Style Projectors
Lightning-style turn signals
Recon 3rd LED brakelight
Recon LED main brakelights/turnsignals
LEDs in my license plates
Stealth bulbs
Silverstar Ultras

Needs:
New front brake pads (squeeking like crazy)
4x New Michelin tires (almost to wear bars)
Front-end alignment
Balance and rotation (void if new tires come first)
Prom (April 19th!!!!)
Sun 'n Fun (April 8-13th)

What to do?

Realize that you can't have everything.

My best advice ever.

Well I'm a Jr. so I'll have next year too. My conscience keeps telling me: "get the lights, you can save next paycheck"

Any idea how to shut this kid up? All I pay for is gas (no bills, no rent, nada) so I can kinda see how I can afford it but I don't want to fuel the fire.

Yes... take the money from the Wendy's cash register and walk out.

What you need to do is find a better paying job. JK, get your break pads, what size of tires do you need 18's?

break = Time for relax. Usually after work.
18's = He's got 16" rims.

I think he should just get new tires and brakes too.

We're doing the cheap way: dinner at her house, ride in her mom's 06 Volvo X70 convertible. limo and dinner are for senior prom. Min wage went up to $6.79/hr, not bad for my first job (hired in Aug)

Tires: P255/70R16, preferabbly Michelins. i love them and I can get a discount from my g/f's mom (owns tire store)

$30 for pads? How much does Ford charge OEM? Thats what I was originally planning. Keep it cheap and simple.

I'm not sure how much fords are... but I priced some Hawk pads for a ranger the other day and they were about $80.

I wouldn't go with anything too cheap... you are dealing with your braking system.
