snow geese! WOW

a few months ago we moved into a house more in the country. behind our house is a farmers field and a few hundred yards past that is a small tree line then another farmers field that turns into a small hill.....anyway just after we moved in one sunday morning i heard alot of noise coming from behind the house. the whole hill looked like living snow! then just last night while we were relaxing in the sunroom we had the same thing but all the geese on the hill furthest away kept making their way to the closer field right behind the house. (within a hundred feet or so). they kept coming and it looked like we were being invaded! LOL they had to number in the tens of thousands i would think......looked like freakn locusts they were so all over....then just after they all actually landed and were scouring the field, they all took off at the exact same time! my jaw just dropped in seeing the white all lift off the same time! we tried pics with the wifes camera but getting dark and not a great zoom to really show anything...just awesome is all......anyway, back to your regularly scheduled program!

Christ it is like a resort here for Canadian Geese. Hordes of them milling about or flying in and out. I believe they are taking over the world!

they really are like locusts. Now imagine hunting, and being out in the middle of all them. It's orgasmic!

I've been snow goose hunting in ARK. a couple times . And its like mSall150's pics. We'd go for the late season then you could use loud speakers . You could remove your plug from your gun and NO LIMITS !! KILL THEM ALL!!

Get TK & MIKE'S "WW" and you'll have your limit in one shot with those geese bunched together like that!

The best volly that I know of is 14 birds with 6 shots. I have seen the geese liket that as far as you can see in either direction for 5-10 minutes at a time. There was one time last duck season when the Snows flew over our blind. I shot an entire box of shells in a few minutes.

Yeah the geese fly over our blind nearly every time we go out, but usually too high to shoot at.

now when it is foggy, the fog sits about 40 yds high, and the birds want to see the ground so they fly about 25-30 yds high. On those days, we usually shoot 3-4 limits in 10 minutes, no problem. Its awesome, we are just standing up, shooting, and piling the birds into the blind as we shoot 'em.
