Yeah I'm 6'4". I dont think I'm anything out of the ordinary, atleast not here in TX. Small people belong in car's, trucks should be made for large/tall people

I'm 6'1" and some change, 320 and some change, and I thought the Tundra CrewMax was hella roomy. Especially in the backseat, sitting behind the salesman (who was taller than me- 6'5" easy) and who had the seat all the way back. It felt roomy in the front seat too.

In my 2006 SuperCrew (Which is defintely bigger than my 2001 SuperCrew was), and quite roomy up front, my knees still touch the back of the front seat, if it's all the way back (Some times my son wants me to ride on the back seat with him, and let the wife drive). I'm not understanding where the F-150 is larger on the inside than the Tundra.

There are a lot of folks who don't "need" trucks. If everyone who didn't "need" one had to get rid of it, my parking lot might have only have 6 trucks in it, instead of probably 600. Some peopel say, "Well, I can't fit into anything else." which I say is BS. If I can fit in a Mini Cooper, 90% of the US male population can too.

Most of these F-250's, F-350's, 3500 diesels, 2500's, etc. in my parking lot, shine like a new penny, and don't have a scratch on them, or in the bed. We posers just drive trucks because we like them. If we don't really need a truck, what difference does it make what level of posing we do?

Even if we did need a truck, what dumb*** (Aside from that clown on Jackass) would take a new $30K, $40K, $50K truck, so far off road that the fully boxed frame would actually be missed?

I wish I had a buck for every 5'4" guy I've seen with 33" - 35" tires, flowmasters on their F-150, with a 6" lift, and not a scratch or dent on it- that has never touched terrain rougher than the Wal-Mart parking lot. Now, that's a poser- ladies & gentlemen. Potential without execution, is called irrelevance. AKA- Posing.

Good exchange here so far. At least the board is alive...

Maybe someone should start a Titan thread.
Yup, 6'6" and pushin 3 bills for me. I fit good in the mini cooper, it was down the isle from the Toyota's. Amazing how roomy, not side to side so much, but length. I will say the same for the chevy's and GMC's too for roominess, not much there, the 2005 as an example. I dunno, just find the Ford's to be alot more roomy. Posing is weak yes, but even if you use you're truck once in a while, it's still nice to have it. I keep a shiney vehicle mostly, but am not afraid to use it. I'll just clean it later. If I scratch it, the emphasis on "I", it shows I was careless, but it happens. I kick around the idea of lifting with big tires, but it would be only for looks admittedly. If I lived where you go mudding and around mountains then ya, it would be used as such and I'd do it. I'd be honest, it looks great but since this is my daily driver, practicality reigns supreme. I think many see Toyota's posers as geeks who see the Tundra as the best because Motor Trend said so. You know, I think it was last year or 2 ago the Ridgeline was truck of the year too, or it was named North American International Auto Show truck of the year, something, but WTF for I'll never know.

Funny thing about the 2-3 people around here that have a Titan, they are pretty much road a-holes. they see you're Ford and think they have to cut you off, looking right at me too. Even the Nissan sedan owners, race, cutoff every chance because they have what to prove to me? If I owned an ugly car or truck like that, I'd run fast too.

To be fair, it isn't a normal filter, they have a cartridge filter set-up on the Tundra, so things would be a little different than the regular filter. A quick search of this site brings up posts asking how to change oil in the first few results.

I didn't say 6'5" was uncommon, what I meant to imply is that 6'5" is well above normal height. Just like my 320 is well above normal weight. Things aren't going to fit us big folks like they will the target market. My second point was, as big as I am, I can fot comfortably in a great many cars. The Mini Cooper, being one of them. That is- if we all bought what we needed, as opposed to what we wanted. My professor sat next to me in this girl's Mini Cooper (2003), and he's 6'7". I was surprised we both fit so well, and we were in the car at the same time.

I don't know where you guys live, but here in Dallas/Fort Worth- and most places I've been around the world, at 6'1 - 6'2" I tower over most people. Sure, there are always taller folks, but I'm always among the tallest. At my job, on my floor at my end of the builiding, there are maybe 4 guys taller than me- out of probably 200 folks. The tallest one is 6'7", the rest are about 6'4" and shorter.

6'5" is not a "common" height. Not saying it's bad, Hell- I'd love to be 6'5", I'm just saying the average male in the USA is 5'8" (Correction, it's gone up- 5' 10" now), average female 5'4". The only country in the world with an average male height of 6' is the Netherlands.

PS: Height has nothing to do with it. I just thought I'd throw that out there as part of my poser explanation. When you see something like that, you'd think a big fella woudl be driving it. But, usually the folks you see with those big trucks, are little men.

I have yet to see a 6'6" 330 lbs joker get out of a truck like that. It's always some little 5'3", 120 lb. squirt who needs a rope to crawl into it. Nothing wrogn with it, I'm just saying...

I think the new Tundra uglier than a poophouse rat myself - that's my #1 reason for not really liking them. And I don't particularly care for Toyota the company either.

The Toyota Tundra, right off the showroom floor, can out tow the Ford F150.

WHOOOOSH! Goes the fire!

Thats a generic statement, and is wrong. The regular cab properly set-up 150 will out tow all versions of the Tundra

I think anyone who pushes any half ton pickup to the advertised limits is an idiot, regardless of the brand. Darwin's gonna get 'em sooner or later, and hopefully no one else gets popped with him.

The key words here are "properly set up" F150, you have to buy the heavy payload package to do it. A straight off the show room floor F150 will not tow it's maximum weight, the Tundra will. No matter how you spin it, you can't change that fact. How long the Tundra will pull that weight before it starts leaving a trail of parts down the highway is another matter entirely.
