There's not really anything I didn't like about it, I loved the car. I was getting around 20 mpgs with conservative highway driving both with and without the S/C as long as I stayed out of boost. I never really figured out the city mpgs.

I was most impressed with the interior quality and comfort along with rear seat room - least impressed with the view out of the rear/blind spot area. The LSX motors are very reliable and easy to work on also. I don't know what else to tell you unless you have some specific questions.

yea it has a MEAN front end...but the back end isnt too good looking

maybe ill just go look at one at the dealership when they come out.

hopefully i could trade my truck in for that easily. cause its only 29 and only has one or two options on it like the GTO did.

Magnacharger with about 7 lbs of boost. It was putting down 408rwhp on a Mustang dyno which equals about 460 or so on a Dynojet.

Never ran the quarter.

well pat, since i used to live in atl back in the day, im assuming your gonna go to tech since thats a big college in town. congrats!! but ive had my truck for almost 2 years at college and theres not a single dent on and gas can kiss my a%&. but you wanna get a car so let me give you my .02. The goat isnt the same goat anymore, it looks like crap. the g8 looks like a taurus with a body kit on it. based on the price of the cars your looking at, the camaro is still in that range, you might be surprised. the challenger probably isnt though. Im not too much of a fan for the new stangs, i like the old model year. consider the 03 cobra or a 99-04 saleen. Those things are bad. I had a saleen before i got my f150. it was freakin sweet and fast as all get out. you might want to look at the dodge charger. since your like me and dont like the normal base cars, look at a used 06, 07 srt-8. 425 hp? its pretty freakin fast. ya know a supra is pretty nice too. hard to find, but nice. just what i think. hope this helps some.

Vettes have never been comparatively cheap to daily driver sedans. When a Mustang could be had for $10-11K off the lot, back in the early 80's, a Vette would break $20K. That's about the same ratio as today. The dollar isn't worth what it used to be.

Don't be surprised to see prices make a huge jump in the next few years either. The Europeans are already thinking of hiking the prices for cars sold in the USA next year. Domestic manufaturers are going to cut production to avoid incentives next year, as well.

like i said earliar.....i love the GTO;s look, and is very nice inside

as well as the G8 i think looks damn good also.
and both are fast as hell.
not to mention already a turbo kit out for the G8
along with m,ultiple turbo and S/C kits for the GOAT's.

im going to Georgia State, transferring to Tech 2nd year.
camaro im sure wont be in that range unless its a V6 as its suppose to be competing with the Challenger and to compete with it, it will need the power and engine size which will keep its price right up there with the 40K base price of the Challenger.

Actually, the price target for the Camaro, as it sets right now, is the Mustang GT; not the SRT-8 Challenger. The Camaro is going to have an SS model to compete with the Challenger. You won't be able to get one for MSRP for a long time after it hits the showrooms, though. Most likely, anyway.

very true. same with the gt500. they are $10-20k over msrp. the camaro should be around $30-$37k.
