Kobi is lost in Kansas. PSS-Mag is halfway between me and Springfield. I'm halfway between S-field and STL.

Kobi, tommarow as soon as the sun comes out, spread the ashes from the fireplace on the driveway. Unless you cant get the tree moved. Then it isn't going to matter if it's iced over or not if you can't get out..... But when teh drive is clear then the ashes will melt the ice almost as soon as the sun hits them.

What is your schedule look like Z?
We may need to go cut Kobi and others out.
I'll have to rebuild my chainsaw on the way, but it'll be ready to go when we get there.

I hate chainsawing on ice........ I kind of like my limbs in tact....... Ohh well, wouldn't be the first time and probably wouldn't be the last..... it'll be alright, lets go!!!!

If it's down hill, we'll just cut it into workable sizes and drag them out of the way until it's safe to work a chainsaw. Just get the driveway open, so he can start thawing it and get around if he needs too.

That was the most dangerous part of ours last year when we went through this, was all the people trapped in their homes, with out power, heat or even a fireplace.

Schedule pretty much blows, but I can still make room for it... It'll be alright, lets go. I can easily get 2 - 3 chainsaws no problem from my boss. And I'd just drag the tree out into the street and say it fell there. City's problem.

Well if Kobi needs us, I'm game.

That was exactly my thoughts, unless Kobi wanted the wood out of it to burn.
I've got chains, 10K lb straps, 4 ton come-along, your 250, there isn't much that we couldn't move.

Haha... Well you know I'm game too. And you've seen my chains, straps, hooks, etc. Here's a pic of them:

Who's that goofy ****** standing in the middle of the road?

Yea I think we are geared to the hilt with anything we could need/want.

I even got a portable genny, so we can have hot coffee even if the power isn't on when we get there.

Wonder if your boss would let us borrow the trailer to haul his JD tractor with front loader on???

Or does he have a FL for it?

No front loader on the JD, plus if we're driving in a ton of ice, I wouldn't want to be towing that sucker. Although, his flat bed trailer is the first trailer I've ever hooked up to my truck that I can actually notice it squat...

It'll be alright, go get one. That tractor is a cream puff. Only has 104.3 hours on it, and its only been used for bush hogging since new. He treats it better than he does his cars...

Yea if I get one now, it'd better have a cab, cause we'll need some place to sleep when they repo'ed the house.

Cream puff.... ohh hell no!
You think my truck is worked and abused.... pfft... you should see me or dad on his tractor. We've made grown men shreak! His is an old 1953 Ford Fergason. No Live PTO. PTO is powered by the rear end, so as long as the wheels are rolling then so is the bush hog. Down side is, as long as the bush hog is turning, so is the wheels.........
Not a problem, been done by farmers for years.... except now the brakes on his are shot. So to stop it, you hit the clutch, stand on the brakes and aim for a tree.
