There are extremists in every religion.
And when they cross the line and do violence, they are taken to task for it. That's the difference.

The Koran teaches violence no more than the Bible teaches violence. The words of either can be twisted to suit an argument against that religion, but I'd have to think that wasn't the idea.

And to expect the average everyday Muslim to be accountable for the actions of all is a double standard, unless those of you that claim to be Christians are accountable for priests molesting children.

When a Christian sins, he asks God for forgiveness. When a muslim sins, he is executed. Which one is peaceful?

Sounds like an easy way out to me. Sin, ask for forgiveness, move on to sin some more. The Muslim is often dead for the same thing.

Which holds their followers accountable for their actions?

But many Christians do pick and choose. It's called interpretation. Everyone has their own interpretation of what the "good book" tells them. Whether it be the Bible, the Koran or any other religious article.

Prime example... G.W. went to war in Iraq/Afghanistan with "Christ on his side"... guess Christ told him it was right?! Or righteous?!

Every religious organization has zealots and whackos which take things a little too far and make everyone look bad. Hence, why I've said it in another thread, you have religious wars. Muslims are guilty of it, and so aren't Christians.

It's cause Christianity does not believe in an eye for an eye... they believe in screw up, no matter how horrible, simply ask for forgiveness and you'll be saved.

So, all those baby rapin SOB's can merely ask for forgiveness, be baptised and continue on their merry way... I like the Islamic way... F-up, Die. Population control at it's finest. Works towards a "pure breed". But then again, that sounds like **** Germany too.

Both. Do some research for yourself.

Heresy or 'Faux Pas'?

"What we're looking at here is a cultural 'faux pas,' and there's a political undercurrent that's running through this furor," said Khan.

She rejected the idea that naming the Teddy Bear Muhammad was inherently blasphemous.

"There is nothing sacred about the name Muhammad and anybody can use that," she said.
So basically the islamic courts don't even know their own religion.
