Tractor Plows
Tractor Plows
I was wondering if anyone has a dozer blade or snow plow attached to their garden tractor?
I have a Cub Cadet GT1554...
Anyhow, I plan on getting a nice set of Ag tires for the rear, 50 lb wheel weights, and chains to use for plowing small areas.
Does anyone have any good experiences with these... or am I just wasting money?
Mind you... I'm going to be plowing in areas that would not work well for a regular plow truck.

Well, we get up to around 2 1/2 to 3 feet... no higher at the complete peak... if that. Most of the time it is around 1 1/2 to 2 feet.
We already have a $2,800 Snapper Snow Blower after a bunch of accessories.

I was planning on using it to quickly clear the driveway from light snows and to go around the house where we keep paths and keep them cleared too, but we always clear them first with the snow blower.

Ok... then it will work on the already cleared paths... I was just looking for a quicker way to clean up the small 4 or less inches of snow when I wake up in the morning... instead of spending 30 minutes, I could easily get the tractor to push that little bit of snow in 10 minutes or less.
Looks like they make a 46" Dozer blade for it, but better yet looks like they make a 42" snow thrower attachment for it.....
Both are here

Here is a balde for $10, but you have to pick it up and it's in Palmerton, PA. Of course it's got some time on it still so will probably go up in price but might watch it if it's not to far to drive or if you know someone in the area.
Not sure if it will fit your but for $600 buy it now, Snow Blower attachment looks brand new in the pics.

KUBOTA, You must be kiddin!
I looked at KUBOTA's prior to making the purchase of $17,000 on the X-595 Diesel Deere! with Loader, 64"deck, Grass Bagger. I have to tell you the Kubota's were cheaper & for a reason, from the Diameter guage, of the metal used all around, especially on the Loader Attatchment, to the features provided,
4-WD, Service, number of lugs on a wheel, etc. Overall ruggedness, My Diesel X-595 is built like a Abrahms M1-A1 tank. Kinda like a FORD vs TOYOTA toughness!!! Yeah I paid more, but the comparible Kubota cannot hold a candle to my DEERE.....SORRY been there done that..............

I got a plow for my John Deere Tractor mower seriers 100. I havn't used it here yet since we havn't had much snow to use it with yet.
Its will be a great investment to help with the removal of snow! Much better then breaking our backs... people that don't get snow won't understand like Thumper.. ignore that dummy

LOL .. Mountainqueer you'll have to try much harder to make me mad. I find it hilarious that you actually call it a "tractor" though .. You're right I have no idea about using one for snow, but I use mine for land clearing, site development, and landscaping. I bet your little lawn mower knows all about all of that.
PS: Deere sucks!
