Another rediculous law is the drinking laws in Texas and the South. These bible thumpers ruin everything! Coming from Florida I was able to buy liquor up untill 2am at a liquor store. Here you cant buy liquor on Sunday and liquor stores close at 9pm every day! Its total BS. And you cant buy beer past 1am!!!!

I am with you 100% Smokey. Any nimrod who puts down the police for what they do, is simply a moron. I can't understand logic such as his, it baffles me. I give the police all the props for what they have to put up with...from morons like that.

There are things like drugs (especially in today's world), vandalism, and thefts that need to be addressed and they are out trying to write pitty tickets. Sorry, but when I hear that "cops are your friends" I just say bull*****. They just want to earn their quota by doing easy work such as pulling people over and giving them tickets over virtually nothing, like blown headlights, and not using a turnsignal instead of getting their fat dougnut A$$ more than 10 feet away from their car and crack down on some serious crime. Now i'm not against them going out there and finding drunk drivers, but time spent stopped writing minor a ticket is wasted when they could be watching for drunks. If you are a cop reading this, then I hope you are not the lazy type that won't go find some real work to do.

(flame suit on)

Are you for real?

I think I was doing over a 100mph most of the way up to meet everyone in sherman. The parts of Arkansas we were riding in have no cops. When we are riding out there the last thing I am worrying abotu is a cop. I am more worried about not falling off the mountain and keeping the bike wheels down. I dont want to pay the $264. I think that if its 5:30am and not a car in sight you should be able to ride at 100mph on a vehicle that was designed to go well over 100mph.

You really think you have "the right" to do whatever you want to do on a public highway? Man, I will stay away from Arkansas if that's what you believe.
I have been driving for, oh, 35 years and I am pleased as punch to say I have never gotten a speeding ticket, even at 5:30 AM.

The only people that seem to have a problem with cops are the dim witted water heads that get caught doing things they shouldn't be doing in the first place. I drive 500-600 miles every day and never seem to have any problems with any law enforcement officer. I have deserved every ticket I have ever gotten and paid the fine with no questions asked. If you can't obey the law then perhaps you shouldn't operate a motor vehicle.

You know that's fine if they want to get out there and generate some revenue but that's just stupid when I have problems with neighbors (drugs, violence) and the police won't do anything. Of course, it is easier to sit on your **** and write tickets as opposed to walking up to the door step of someones house and investigating. Hmm a coincidence? I think not.

A debate is fine. Personal attacks and incredibly foul & abusive language won't be tolerated.

One 3-day 'hiatus' has been set and various posts removed. Let's stay on topic and avoid stupidity.

In VA, if you're caugt doing 20MPH-plus over the posted speed limit, it's an automatic misdemeanor.

Now, unless you have a spotless driving record and a damn good attorney, you're not going to get off with a slap on the wrist like shroomie's cousin did.

Taking the above into consideration, he was lucky all things considered.

nicely said. you did it and know you were wrong. pay up and shut up

Maybe it's just a string of bad luck lately but I've been riding for a few years now, and just recently had two friends die on bikes within two months. If you continue to ride with that attitude I guarantee you one of these days it's gonna catch up to you and I can promise you that if you continue riding like you are the day it does catch up to you is the day the posts from Daveg99 disappear forever.

As far as stopper goes I'm not even going to begin to address your comments. My suggestion to you is to go on a ride along, you don't have half a clue about some of the topics your addressing. You need to actually ride out with the 'donut eating lazy $$$es' and see how our little world works before you spout off with these ignorant statements about law enforcement.
