I think if Chuck and Silva did hook up, that Silva would proabably take it. Chuck is strong, but his game isnt that versitile. Where if you look at Sliva, there is 100 different ways he could kill you. Chuck would have to keep the fight on his feet, and have one of those classic Chuck Liddell knock outs. Its a fight I would love to watch though...

This is true. Wasn't much of a fight, and from what I saw in that fight, Houston is a stud. I remember his face...it was like a switch turned on and he was on Jardine like white on rice and was very aggressive. That's the kind of fighter I like.

I think Spike has shown two of Houston Alexander's fights. He is a force and very exciting to watch. Nice to see an 'old' guy come out of nowhere and start making a name for himself.

I'll bet a lot of the top contenders would much rather fight someone else. He'll need at least three more big wins against some 'names' before he deserves a title shot, IMO.

I don't care for him to much, but you are very right. When he comes in to the octagon, its like a switch has been flipped. The 2 or 3 fights Ive seen of his, he has just flat out owned his opponent. He goes from looking focused to looking possessed.

Heavyweight champion Randy Couture has severed ties with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, his Las Vegas spokesman said on Thursday.

Spokesman Sean O'Heir of Couture's Xtreme Couture MMA said Thursday that the UFC Hall of Famer had vacated his championship and resigned as an analyst on UFC television broadcasts.

WOW

Here is the article:
http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=news.detail&gid=8236

STATEMENT FROM DANA WHITE, UFC PRESIDENT, REGARDING COUTURE

“I’m not surprised at all by Randy’s decision. I talked to Randy several weeks ago and he said that if he couldn’t fight Fedor, then he has nothing left to prove in the sport of mixed martial arts.

He has been doing a lot of acting, and I know he is in South Africa right now filming a movie. I think it’s a great move for Randy’s acting career to retire from fighting while he is on top.

As we all know, Randy retired before. The landscape in MMA changes every day. So when he is ready to come out of retirement again, he is still under contract with me, and I’m ready to promote him.”

Couture is a legend, and should almost be everyones hero to an extent. That guy is ageless, and knows no fear. A great person indeed!

so Fedor signed with M1, who was boought by dallas mavericks owner Mark Cuban. he wants it for his HD channel.
Couture can not compete for 9 months per his UFC contract. so if we are luck we will see a Couture vs Fedor fight.

apparently UFC was trying to sign Fedor but UFC put restirction on him so he said no.

I don't know man. Nagata is a Japanese pro wrestler. That's like me fighting a 15 year girl. I could roll my record to 100-0 like that. It's not that I don't think Fedor is a good fighter but fights like that take away some of his legitimacy. Couple that with performances of his fellow Pride stars Cro-cop 1-2, Shogun 0-1, Nogueira a boring win over a disapointing Heath Herring and Gomi being submitted by Diaz. I think we were all fooled by the supeiority of Pride - except Dana White. It's too bad we won't see Fedor vs. Couture in the UFC. Hopefully well get to see it under another flag and end all this debate.
