yea but so far only 1 response from a guy even near there. monroe still a bit off though. i'm from around woodsworth, my little cousins go to school up in jena, and i went to a school in glenmora.

this has always been an issue when i was in school. not alot different now. talked to my cousin a few minutes on the phone and more or less everyone is on a thin sheet of ice waiting for one side to start something.

in other news, the local KKK is sending an area representative, David Duke, over to keep an eye on things lol

not ALL schools are like that in louisiana either, but schools like Jena, Rapides, and a few other in the area are kinda known for it. Jena has always been a center of controversy though. Long before this I've heard stories and such about Jena.

I'm originally from a small small small town in central louisiana. i can honestly say blame the parents, not the kids. the kids don't know any better. it's how they were raised.

also, just got off the phone again with the lil cousin. they kids that hung the nooses were football players.....

the kid that was beat up didn't have **** to do with it. he was a scrawny little white kid. looks like all the kids who done it were acquited or however you spell it.

the kid was beaten more or less into a vegetable state....

Guys, I'm from Louisiana, about 45 miles northeast of Jena- and let me tell you, North-east and North-central Louisiana is so racist, I'm surprised the state flag in that part of the country, isn't a white sheet. It's still blacks over here, whites over there- in Louisiana.

This story has been going on quite a while, but the fact that you guys haven't read, heard- or found is this.

The black boy that started the beat down on the white boy on December 4th, got his azz kicked by a group of white people at a party a few days earlier. Those white kids got in trouble, but they were slapped on the wrist (no prosecuition). At school a few days later, one of the boy (Justin Barker) was talking sh*t to the black boy who got his azz kicked at the party. He as taunting the black kid, (Heard you got your azz whipped the other night) and got his azz whipped in that cafeteria.

Where the outcry comes from is this:

A group of white kids beat the sh*t out of a black boy. Slap on the wrist.

A group of black kids beat the **** out of a white boy, they were suspended/expelled (because it happened at the school, whereas the other *** whipping happened off campus~ so I get that), and the black kids (Over age 15) were facing 80 years in Prison.

Why is a slap on the wrist sufficient for the white kids, guilty of the same crime- but black kids (all in the same age group, same town, and guilty of the same crime- facing prison time?

Mychal Bell's conviction was overturned by a higher court in Louisiana, (which landed him about 22 years in Prison), but he's still being held since the DA appealed.

In my opinion, they should have let the azz whipping stand, and let that be the end of it. Hang nooses in a tree, get your azz whipped- lesson learned, lets move on. That was effed up, they know it- so, when you do some sh*t like that, expect an azz whipping... Just expect it.. after all, you're asking for it...

But, if you want to go Federal, then let's show just how effed up things really are down there. It's not fair- and if we stop siding with races, and look at this at face value- you know it's f'd up for one to get the book thrown at them, when the others faced no prosecution for the same crime.

PS: Justin (who was so badly injured, he attended a school function the sme night he got his azz whipped) didn't graduate either... That little angle brought a hunting rifle to school, and was expelled.

PS- the black kids got a gun pulled on them at a gas station, byu some good ol' boy down there too (Prior to Dec. 4th).

It's effed up down there. It's time someone shined a light on it.

 

This issue along with others of this nature disgust me. They always seem to get blown way out of proportion. I have been away going on my 14th month and about every 3 months or so I get curiouse and check the news to catch up only to wish I had not. This was the one that did it this time. Are you seriouse? 6 people, regardless of color, beat 1 individual to a pulp and we have mobs marching in the defense of the 6. I understand racism sucks but this is the case to waste all of the money for the cause on.

where are you from? where i grew up (had 12 people in my graduating class), yeah, these places still exist. it's louisiana. i never had someone of a different race in my class. ever. it's kinda like cops down there, hell the first time i ever saw a cop out where we were was when i was 14 and was at a funeral.
