Well then, the chief knew then he had an officer spewing more lies and deceit trying to cover up what he did in the first place.

I use to build Eagle Eye brand systems for patrol officers. High end Mitsubishi VCRs were used and were mounted in a thick metal box that was locked for everyone except the presiding chief. Only the chief could remove a video tape from an officer's car. The officer in this case had the ability to lose his own tape. You're right, very convenient.

Also, I can see being polite, but if you know your rights a cop shouldn't shot back at you "I'm gonna arrest for whatever I feel like." (as I'm sure we all agree). If the cop pulls any chit the victim just gets to sue and take away our tax dollars.
The cop in this scenario is a bad human being.
Your "rights" only extend so far as your ability to-
A: Have absolutely credible proof as to what happened
B: Have serious financial resources or political connections

For every case where there is judgment against the police there
are probably 100 where they were out of line but protected by the system.

This is a good thing to remember before you provoke an altercation.

He tapes when he drives because he got a ticket that he said he should not have gotten.

Thank You! That's very interesting, about what you used to do. It also sheds some light on the isssue. COP TRYANNY! Very rarely does a public employee not get paid when an investigation is pending. The police cheif wants this to go away...

Oh I am sure he does. Sounds like this is a small town so a single lawsuit along with lots of media coverage will hit the budget hard if not kill it entirely.

Building those systems helped me earn the money to pay my way for uniforms and supplies as I entered Officer Training in the US Air Force after I got accepted.

I Read both articles...I like the kid, no wait, I love what he is doing. Anyone who says the kid has a smart mouth, does'nt know shiite from shineola. All he is doing is asking legitimate questions as to the legality of what the officers are doing. HE DOES NOT GIVE THEM LIP. All he does is question the legitimacy of the situation. It pisses the cops off...because they know they are in the wrong, and the kid is in the right. READ THE TRANSCRIPTS SLOWLY, and then tell me that I am wrong.

Ole', this is not directed towards you, I am glad you posted this. I just want all those who have bashed the kid, to think, think about what is going on here. It could be you one day!

I don't think it was posted here yet, but that parking lot was not closed. Its a 24 hour lot.

I like the kid, he did the right thing. I think having a camera is a good idea.

If you read the first link I posted, It showed a backup cop came by, seen the camera, and pointed it out to the other cop. I wonder what happened to the second video?
