I use to build Eagle Eye brand systems for patrol officers. High end Mitsubishi VCRs were used and were mounted in a thick metal box that was locked for everyone except the presiding chief. Only the chief could remove a video tape from an officer's car. The officer in this case had the ability to lose his own tape. You're right, very convenient.

Also, I can see being polite, but if you know your rights a cop shouldn't shot back at you "I'm gonna arrest for whatever I feel like." (as I'm sure we all agree). If the cop pulls any chit the victim just gets to sue and take away our tax dollars.
The cop in this scenario is a bad human being.

A: Have absolutely credible proof as to what happened
B: Have serious financial resources or political connections
For every case where there is judgment against the police there
are probably 100 where they were out of line but protected by the system.
This is a good thing to remember before you provoke an altercation.

He tapes when he drives because he got a ticket that he said he should not have gotten.

That's very interesting, about what you used to do. It also sheds some light on the isssue. COP TRYANNY! Very rarely does a public employee not get paid when an investigation is pending. The police cheif wants this to go away...

people like these are who give cops a bad name. fu*k sticks like this guy ought not have ever been a cop or have any authority for that matter. he is the guy you should see on the side of the road picking up trash.

Would you teach me to do a sig? As you can see, I have Sig Dysfunction Syndrome!
I don't think it was posted here yet, but that parking lot was not closed. Its a 24 hour lot.
I like the kid, he did the right thing. I think having a camera is a good idea.
If you read the first link I posted, It showed a backup cop came by, seen the camera, and pointed it out to the other cop. I wonder what happened to the second video?
