Why do kids have to learn the hard way?

You gonna say what it was? Alcohol? If so, probably lucky the cops got to you before something worse happened.

Ahhh, that's too bad. Reminds me of when I got my speeding ticket when I was 17... Since then I only do 2 mph over the limit. Other than that, I'm constantly watching my speedometer. I'm scared crap of another speeding ticket. Another reason too, is that I want to get my CDL license and become a professional truck driver.... so I really want to stay clean. I'm not going to get it for about another year or two, until I finish college. But my friends laugh at me... well they can laugh all they want, because I really don't care, and since they are not going to ever become professional drivers, then I could care less about them.

Well, I hope when you get your license back you don't decide to DUI, speed, or do something really, really, stupid. I'd say people on the road that can't stand to do the speed limit behind me, deserve to lose their license. There's no reason to do 80 in a 55. Just like how they raised the speed limit from 55 to 65. It only gets you from point A to point B a little quicker. Like say if you were going a 100 miles, at 55 mph it would 1 hour and 48 minutes... whereas at 65 mph, it would be 1 hour 32 minutes. It would only be 16 minutes quicker. Like 16 minutes is going to really matter. If it was like 30 minutes, then, of course, thats a lot better... but it isn't the case here. All it does is waste fuel. But who am I to say this... lol

Well Pat, I'd give my left nut to have your truck... and you blew it on yourself. *sigh*

yes alcohol
but i was not driving
i did not even have my keys or wallet on me

i was at the high school football opener....and about 20 people caught before the half
including me.
it was already in me.

theres a chance we will get all this changed but its a 1 to a trillion chance.
they tehcnically were profiling because they only chose the painted seniors to get breathalized, they chose us without reason, i wasnt doing anything but actually in the bathroom washing my hands.
and they are giving me a driving charge without even my keys on me.
and i blew .05 not .08. i know thats the DUI charge but yea.

well i really hope the school doesnt come down hard on you. you get expelled from high school, thats going to hurt your chances at getting into the colleges you want...

and .08 doesnt even matter untill you are 21.

Thats so gay man.. Its a shame but I'm sure no adult ever consumed any alcohol when they were underage.

Wow, that really sucks! Granted, your underage and shouldn't be drinking, but revoking your license for a year? Is this a first offense? Seems a little steep for a first offense.

I don't see how they can give you a driving charge. Seems like something to contest. Maybe a minor in possesion, but it wasn't in your possession. Hmm, very interesting one...

Sucks man!

I did my stupid drinking in HS, but I didn't dare do it on campus. I didn't want to end up in alternative school with all the pre-dropouts. You'll eventually make it, and by 21, you'll be free again.
