Oh yeah, I've seen them go. It would beat a porshe in a 0-50 mph sprint.

I added big bore shocks (bent the stockers), a wheelie bar and new front cross member and bumper due to some 10' jumps. I mostly chase the dog around the yard with it
I've been eying a set of those big bore shocks, but the stockers are still holding up... for now.

Ah.... It wasn't my fault. Stupid little cousin grabbed his cheapo R/C car when he saw me showing off on my aunt's patio. Turns out they were on a similar frequency.

Thats awsome Peacemaker, thanks for all the info. Looks like something I would end up spending a boatload of money on

Especially with all the mods you can do. I would spend plenty of cash trying to make it bulletproof, I would beat that thing

Here's a video of a "stock" Traxxas Stampede being ran off-road on a 6-cell nimh battery:

Yep, stay out of water. You can run them in damp conditions if you water-proof the electronics though. If you go to the traxxas forum, there's a few threads on that topic alone.

That video is a couple of years old from when it was still being developed and maybe sold as a kit. After some searching I found they are now available. 126.00 on ebay with everything included. 79.00 at Toys R Us but you have to buy the battery and charger seperately. I might have to get one and see how fast I can break it.
