Anyone here into R/C's?
Here's my R/C. It's a 2wd Traxxas Stampede with a few performance and durability upgrades.

My boy and I have nitro cars. We each have a T-maxx and HPI RS4-3ss's. The trucks are a little built up and go about 50mph. The cars are a little slower because of gearing. A local indoor soccer field used to let us race the nitro cars indoor last winter. It was loads of fun, but we broke loads of control arms. For just bashing around the street and yard the trucks are more fun. I'm thinking about e-baying the nitro cars since the soccer place has closed.

Those T-Maxx's are cool, and I agree they are good for bashing. The RS4's are 4wd touring cars with belt-drives right? I have a Duratrax MT Pro with the Torx .16 engine and 2-speed tranny. I converted it to a stadium truck with a body drop and smaller tires. A cop friend radared it at 40 mph on 20% nitro fuel. I ran the MT Pro for a while, but nitro was getting too expensive so I went to brushless power in the Stampede and never looked back. The Pede goes about 40-45 mph with a 6-cell nimh battery, and it gets 20 minute run times.

I used to run a Team Walbern nitro funny car and a prostock that was converted from a HPI rs4.
Now they're just collecting dust. :coffee: |

I have a Team Losi All wheel drive r/c car. Should have bought a truck because I rarly ever drive the car and it gets boring on the street.

In the prostock, I was running an HPI .12 for all the same reasons above. These were both bracket racers. |

Sometimes I think it would be cool to have one to play around with. I dont think it would get to much use from me though.
Cool little things though. Can they do and sweet tricks? :D |

The RS4-3's have proven themselves durable. The neighbor kids all ask to drive them when we are out. The neighbor kid rolled mine so good, that he broke three control arms and a knuckle:eek: A local hobby shop still has racing, but it's in the summer, and we are very busy then. |
