2006 Yamaha Raptor 700r
Pro's- Fuel injected(no jetting required,if modding need efi tuner, easy to tune)
Reverse
Electric start
Has tons of TQ and pretty decent HP stock, if you add the big 3. EFI tuner, PIPE & Intake it will really wake these things up.
Very comfortable for a taller person or bigger rider.
Great suspension, handling, and braking for a stock quad.
It has plenty of power to get you up any hill in the dunes, it's great on the trails, decent in the mud, and did well in the snow and on the river.
Powerband is around 6k and only revs to 9,2? or 9,5 i think. So it has very little handlebar vibration compared to some of the 450's that hit 12,5K rpms. I love the 450's but after a long day your arms will be a lot less fatigued. It's pretty light at 396lbs dry. I know many people that MX it and it's doing great on the track if you go that route. If your on tight technical trails it's great at low speeds, where as sometimes on a 450 they like to be going a little faster than you want to stay in the sweet spot, or rev to higher rpms. I have started it in -25F just fine. It's an "ALL AROUND" great quad that does it all and looks great doing it. So I'd say it's a "rider friendly" quad.
I have no CONS about this quad at all. I love every second on it.
I love the 450's but for my use this quad made more sence.
If you want to read anymore about it,or get more than my view on it. Check out www.raptorforum.com
So far no one that's on that site has been dissapointed with it. Not just because they own it, but because it's been that impressive of a quad.

Hahaha, I wish you would posted this first!
In that case I'd say a Yamaha Grizzly 700 efi, racks,4x4, power steering...

I have a Brute Force 750. Bought it new and it has about 6000 miles on it now. No service issues what so ever.
I have owned pretty much every atv to be had, and if I bought another new atv tomorrow I would get the Brute Force again. It hauls ***, has to much power, good ground clearance, decent ride, super engine braking, and a good over all feel to it.
I hear Kaw is coming out with an EFI 800 Brute this fall though, so you may want to hold off until the 2008's drop.
Here is a picture of my brute.

And my silver Brute 750 with my friends black Brute 750...

Here watch this video. About 3/4 of the way through it you will see a Honda Rincon start down in a mud hole, get stuck then my Kaw push him through it.

Here is a pic of my solid rear axle.

Here is a pic of the independent rear axle.

He said he wished he would have gotten the Grizzly after riding mine.
Personal expeirence, I own a 04 Yamaha Grizzly 660 (they are 700's now).
I love it. Plenty of power, handles and looks great. I've gotten mine up to 66 on flat blacktop. Biggest complaint, crappy factory tires. If I was to buy another one, I'd first look at the NEW grizzly again, then at the new Arctic Cats.. If the racks and hauling stuff is really important to you, the Actic Cats have a great rack system. Lots of "mods" available.

Both are completely different handling wise so if you are able to test ride both of them, I would recommend doing so; they have completely different feels. It's really a matter of personal preference on which one you would like better. I chose the solid rear axle because as stated above, I think they are more solid and there is less maintenance. With independent, you have two more CV joints/axles to deal with due to the suspension components. Simply just my opinion though. Try to test ride both to see what you like better. The 650i has a slightly different body style as well.
