You couldn't manage to ship a center console and now you think I'm going to believe you'll deliver my new ride?

I'd love to get a hold of a good bose enclosure and put some real speakers in it! They do make highly engineered enclosures. I'm just wondering if it's the enclusure that absorbs the natural sounds or if the speaker just isn't producing them.

Thats interesting that he designed a shock, I didn't know that, I will have to take a look at your link.

Remember 'em, seen 'em, and heard 'em. Not bad... but I'd still take the cheap-o maggies...

D . . . Maggies . . . gotta love 'em.
Sounds like a plan. I can't wait to move into a place that has the room for a pair of Maggies...

I know that there are third party solutions that involve hardware and software, but I know nothing about them. Can't help you there.

I did however do a quick search and came up with this:

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/home-ente...-hd-231441.php

It might help and/or lead you to a site that can give you better answers.

Contrary to popular belief, the new "Apple TV" does NOT act as a dvr.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

:o

STOP being so down on yourself. Don't make me come out there and smack you up-side the head!

I was just being a dork.

BUT...if you decide to head this way to smack me a round a bit, bring your clubs, I could use a few lessons.

Yes, I had it for 20, maybe 25 years (I can't even remember when I got it), my good old Nakamichi TA-4A (with the STASIS amp built-in). Good old 2 channel (just like God intended). It sounded great back in the day, it still sounded great up to today. I never found anyting that sounded better enough to justify buying anything new.

I'm gonna miss my Nak -

and am dreading buying something new. All I want is 2 channel, I don't need any of this stinking 5.1 or 7.1 or 29.1 channel crap. Good old 2 channel is where it's at.

The kids at Shelly's (where I got my Maggies) knew of the TA-4A, and were not surprised at all to find it was still kicking and I had never got something new to replace it. They are recommending some S&K separates, but I'm thinking just a simple 2 channel entry level McIntosh.

Hey D . . . what do you think?
I had a Sansui that lasted 6 years, before it took a knee.

But, my ADC Equalizer and my Pioneer Expander stil live after 19 years, as does my Kenwood Double Cassette, and my 2 Pioneer tower speakers (140 lbs each). All Purchased at Sight & Sound, in Wurzburg Germany, in 1988. They've been moved, and stored a bunch of times over the last two decades, and they will still wake the nieghbors...

but, I'm so impressed now with the home theater sound, I decommissioned my big ol' stereo in 2005. It's serving in a reserve capacity now, but will be called back to active duty, should my JVC 5:1 take an early hiatus.

Maybe two years ago, I was in Frisco and happened to be in line behind Pilar Sanders (Deion Sander's wife). She was buying 2 (if not three) Bose Lifestyle systems. Those things were $2,999,99 each... (I'm pretty sure that was here. There's not too many drop-dead gorgeous, where in the world did you come from, brown-skinned women, in the Frisco area).

She had 2 or 3 of them.

She was about to drop 6K - 9K (Plus another $480 - $540 in taxes) on speakers, at the regular check out counter- just as easily as I would buy a Coke and a pack of M&M's.

Somehow we all got to talking at the register- she said "My husband is mad with me... He's sitting out in the car...". As a man, you know you have to be upset, to miss a chance to walk into Best Buy!

I like sound, but I'm not about to pay that much for it... I'll get the cheap stuff (Pioneer, Kenwood, JVC, Aiwa, etc..) and leave the expensive stuff (Carver, DBX, Nakamichi) to you rich folks... My house party will be just as live, and just as loud- just maybe not as clear.

But, with 2-3 glasses of Hennessey in you, you won't be hearing or seeing that well anyway!
